This time my brother and I went to a Hanam restaurant that sets out a full Korean table — fresh 12-side banchan, vegetable wraps, and delicious main meats like pork galbi and stir-fried pork all together.
The generous ssambap (wrap-rice) sets come with meat as a full Korean meal, and the set menus ran between 14,000 won and 16,000 won.
The meat came with fresh wrap vegetables, steamed egg, doenjang stew (soybean paste stew), rice, 12 varied side dishes, and a hot pot of warm ssamjang (dipping sauce), so we ate a very filling meal for just over 10,000 won each.
The table setting was neat and the wrap vegetables were fresh, so I could eat heartily while still keeping things healthy — I really loved this place.
It was great-value Korean food — affordable, neatly set, and the main dish was delicious too, so this is a ssambap spot I'd happily pay for myself again.
It's a great Hanam restaurant for a day trip out of Seoul, a family meal with parents, lunch on the way to/from Starfield Hanam, or a Misa evening get-together.

A full table in the 10,000-won range — ssambap set menu and prices
Order a set menu priced between 14,000 and 16,000 won at Dolsoe Ssambap, and the table fills up with a main meat dish, steamed egg, doenjang stew, 12 kinds of fresh wraps, 12 side dishes, and a hot pot of seafood ssamjang.
- (Stir-fried pork / beef bulgogi / beef brisket) ssambap set 14,000 won
- (Pork galbi / octopus stir-fry) ssambap set 16,000 won
We ordered the pork galbi ssambap set, and it was generous.
Eating a bit of everything from the 12 side dishes, and piling on unlimited lettuce and perilla leaves, made for a really satisfying meal in the 10,000-won range.
Seeing everything laid out so healthily and neatly gave me the feeling of 'today I'm going to eat well' — such a great-looking Korean table spread!
The main pork galbi is genuinely delicious
The galbi (short rib) meat is really tender and the seasoning has soaked in with great savory flavor. It's clean with no gamey smell, so as soon as I took a bite I knew this place was the real deal.
The sweet marinade and subtle grilled aroma come through well, so it's delicious on its own, and even better wrapped in a big bite with lettuce or perilla and rice.
The portion was generous too, so it wasn't just about the wraps — I felt like I properly ate the main dish as well.
12 kinds of wrap vegetables and 12 side dishes
Lettuce, perilla leaves, kale and other vegetables come out in a big pile.
The leaves were fresh and crisp, and with so much variety it was fun switching up the wrap with every bite. Really fresh.
The 12-side banchan spread included familiar home-style dishes served neatly: cucumber salad, black sesame cabbage salad, stir-fried fish cake, seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned seaweed stem, pickled radish, and pickled onion.
There was a good range from tangy, palate-refreshing flavors to plain, savory namul (seasoned vegetables).

It felt like the secret to the cooking skill was fully reflected in the table setting — so clean and neat.
The table's real kick: hot seafood ssamjang
You can choose between mackerel ssamjang or seafood ssamjang, and I picked the seafood ssamjang that day.
The seafood ssamjang in the hot pot was the kick that took the flavor up another notch.
The seafood flavor was subtly infused, making it much richer than the ssamjang I usually eat, with a savory, umami depth.
Piling rice and the main meat onto lettuce with a little seafood ssamjang on top, I could taste the sweetness, savoriness, and salty umami all in one bite — truly delicious.
Doenjang stew and steamed egg too — a filling Hanam lunch spot
The bubbling doenjang stew had a good broth flavor, with the deep taste of doenjang blending with the umami from the ingredients inside.
The softly set steamed egg broke apart fluffily as soon as I put a spoon in, moist and soft inside.
It's an easy place to visit for weekday lunch as a Hanam Misa office worker or a weekend family meal, and it's also a good stop after shopping at Starfield Hanam or a date in Hanam.
After eating such a well-set meal on a day out in Hanam, even though it's not far away, it really feels like a little outing.
Dolsoe Ssambap — overall review
The 12 kinds of wraps and 12 home-style side dishes come out generously, and the tender pork galbi, with its sweet marinade and subtle grilled aroma, went really well with rice.
Adding a little hot seafood ssamjang to the wrap brings out a deep umami that makes the flavor much richer.
I also liked that doenjang stew and fluffy steamed egg come as standard.
You can eat heartily while also getting plenty of fresh wrap vegetables, so even after eating a lot, you're left with a healthy, refreshing feeling rather than the heaviness of a greasy meal. The food wasn't overpowering and was well seasoned, so it sat easy on the stomach.
It's almost surprising that this level of spread and flavor comes in the 10,000-won range — great value, and every dish was so neat that it wouldn't be a waste to pay for it myself again.
It's a great Hanam restaurant for a family gathering with parents, a filling lunch, a day going to and from Starfield Hanam, or finding a good meal during a date in Hanam. It's also a restaurant that suits a Misa evening get-together for a group.
On a day stepping out of Seoul to Hanam, wrapping fresh vegetables with tender pork galbi and seafood ssamjang into a big bite is so delicious. It's a Hanam Misa Korean ssambap restaurant I'd like to visit again next time I'm out that way.
It was great-value Korean food — affordable, neatly set, and the main dish was delicious too, so this is a ssambap spot I'd happily pay for myself again.
