Suwon Italian restaurant for a quiet weekday lunch: Low Five
In short
Low Five is a pizza and pasta restaurant near Seon-gyeong Library in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. At weekday noon, I had ₩25,000 corn pizza and ₩18,000 Alfredo cream pasta in its storybook-like setting. Verdict: the corn pizza is worth the visit.

Low Five at weekday noon
Haenggung-dong in autumn is already making me excited....💚 I always gave up on Low Five because the weekend wait was so long, but I went early on a weekday and there was a table, so I got to enjoy it nice and leisurely haha.
It is on the first floor at 59 Sinpung-ro 23beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, and is open from 11:20 a.m. to 9 p.m. It is regularly closed every Tuesday; you can register for the waitlist on site, and local currency is accepted.

Isn't the exterior just so pretty? It is right below the main gate of Seon-gyeong Library in Haenggung-dong, on a big road, so it is not hard to find! There is always a line outside on weekends, so you can spot it right away.

A space made for dates
Maybe because it is surrounded by lush green trees, it felt even more peaceful.

I went in around noon on a weekday, and there were not many people, so I loved that it was not crowded. Haenggung-dong really has such a huge difference between weekdays and weekends...... Doesn't the place feel like a little storybook village? I was surprised by how pretty it was! The staff welcomed us kindly too, so it was the kind of place that instantly lifts your mood haha.

You can freely help yourself to Parmesan cheese and hot sauce, and tissues and wet wipes are self-serve too! Everything was stocked generously, and I honestly prefer self-service like this haha.
- Corn Pizza (₩25,000)
- Alfredo Cream Pasta (₩18,000)

I think we waited about 10 minutes after ordering for the food to come out! Thankfully it was not very busy, so it felt like we got it quickly.

Alfredo cream pasta and corn pizza
The Alfredo pasta came with one large piece of thick-cut bacon, and it was a rich, creamy pasta! It was not an especially unusual flavor, but it is the kind of pasta nobody would dislike.

The corn pizza is why I came here....🍀 It was loaded with whole corn kernels, and I still remember that wonderful bite of corn. I loved how nutty the corn tasted too! I could see why it is so famous haha. Such an uncommon flavor!

The pizza did not have a tomato-sauce-type base either; it had something like a white cream base, so as a cream lover, I enjoyed it soooo much ㅠㅠㅠㅠ The pizza was also amazingly crisp outside and soft inside. They had pepperoni pizza besides the corn pizza, and next time I think I will order a half-and-half with pepperoni. The pepperoni looks like it would be really good too!! I noticed lots of people around us were getting half-and-half.

I also loved the cheese pull.... and there were plump shrimp tucked all through it, so the texture was great too. My date loved it and said it was so delicious haha.

How much we ate for two, and a weekend waiting tip
Ordering two dishes for two people was nicely filling! Pizza plus pasta is just unbeatable.... One pizza alone would have felt a little sad.... I think lots of other reviews said the pizza could be a little rich, but surprisingly it was more on the light-rich side, so we polished everything off.
The dining room is spacious and gets lovely natural light, so the atmosphere really stayed with me. If the wait were not so intense, it would be somewhere I would want to visit all the time ㅠㅠ I will have to go again when I am in the area on a weekday... Oh! Low Five has another location in Haenggung-dong too. It is not far from the original location, but the wait there is seriously intense as well ㅠㅠㅠ I thought having two locations might finally make the wait shorter, but no chance.... On weekends, I definitely recommend putting your name down first, then going to a nearby café or browsing the little gift shops.
