Goyang Korean restaurant for garlic haejangguk at night: Jeju Eunhui-ne
In short
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a Korean restaurant beside Starfield Goyang in Goyang, Gyeonggi. Two late-night bowls of haejangguk with minced garlic had deeply rich broth and an almost overwhelming amount of fillings. Verdict: a place I want to revisit for intensely rich, generous haejangguk.

Right beside Starfield Goyang, late-night gukbap
We were at Starfield Goyang and it got later than expected, so we decided to have dinner nearby! With the weather suddenly turning chilly, we were craving a hot bowl of gukbap (rice soup), you know? That famous Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch (제주은희네해장국 고양삼송점) is right beside Starfield Goyang, so we went!
It is reaaally right next door! You can park in the building, and the first hour is free! Usually you drive to Starfield, right? So the parking was sooo convenient.

After parking, it is right there when you come up in the retail elevator.

The interior was so clean and spacious! We went for a late dinner around 8–9 p.m., so there was plenty of seating too.

Haejangguk and dombe pork set menus
Here is the menu. Their most famous dishes are haejangguk (hangover soup) and naejangtang (offal soup)! And Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk is also super famous for dombe pork, boiled pork served in thick slices. I wanted dombe pork too, but I wondered if it would be too much food.

They also sell lots of set-menu combinations like this! And extra rice and broth are, amazingly... free! The soup normally comes with dadaegi, a spicy seasoning paste, but they said you can ask to leave out the dadaegi or seonji (congealed ox blood) too? I love these little details so muchㅠ If you cannot handle spicy food, asking for no dadaegi would be perfect.
We had eaten bread and other things at Starfield, so we ordered only two haejangguk. But people at the nearby tables were ordering the No. 1 and No. 2 dombe pork sets a lot!! From what I saw, the combinations looked pretty good, so next time I am definitely trying one of those sets haha.

These are the opening hours. They close early at 3:30 p.m. only on Mondays. Otherwise they are open until 10 p.m., with no break time!

After ordering two haejangguk, I went to get an apron and found blankets ready too?

There are even high chairs near the entrance! I think it would be such a nice place for a family meal too haha.

Haejangguk with minced garlic—are the fillings for real?
The basic side dishes were kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), peppers, and ssamjang dipping paste. You know kimchi is everything at a gukbap place, right? I do not usually like kkakdugi that much, but I kept reaching for it.

Our two haejangguk arrived! Wow, the portions looked insane at a glance. It was my first time at Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk, but my husband already knew it. He gave it a big thumbs-up and said it was seriously good, so let the verification begin.

Minced garlic comes with the haejangguk too. My husband said I absolutely had to add it, so I did—and the broth definitely tasted deeper and more developed!

The amount of fillings was truly ridiculous....... It was hard even to stir in the dadaegi.

There were two huge pieces of seonji in there too..!!!! I do not eat seonji, so I gave all of it to my husband haha.

After gently mixing in the dadaegi, I lifted my spoon—are the fillings on this spoon even real?

It was packed with glass noodles, bean sprouts, and ugeoji, soft outer cabbage leaves. I am obsessed with glass noodles, and there were really so many.....🤍

There was also so much tender lean meat. If you come with kids, I think it would be perfect to order without dadaegi, shred up the meat, let it cool, and give it to them!!

After scooping up a mountain of fillings and mixing in the rice, it somehow became completely full again,, ✨ Wow, this was seriously No. 1 among the haejangguk I have hadㅠㅠ The portion was huge and the broth was so intensely rich—the best. It is a chain, and there is one near my home too, so I am going to visit!

For reference, the restroom is the building restroom. It is a building restroom, but it is clean! Just grab the toilet paper by the door before you go~~
