Indian lunch sets with naan and milk tea in Seongnam: Bombay Broy

In short

Bombay Broy Pangyo is an Indian restaurant in Baekhyeon-dong Café Street, Seongnam, Gyeonggi. My friend and I tried weekday Lunch Sets A and B for 14,900 won and 17,000 won, with tandoori chicken, curry, naan, and milk tea. Verdict: a memorable choice when you want a change from the usual lunch.

Park-view windows and an exotic dining-room atmosphere

Entrance atmosphere at Bombay Broy Pangyo

The unusual atmosphere started right at the entrance. From my seat, I could see the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the park, and just looking at it felt soothing.

The red napkins on every table made it feel even more exotic, almost like I had come to an upscale restaurant.

Both the servers and cooks were foreigners who were not very fluent in Korean. I was a little taken aback at first, but they spoke short Korean phrases, so there was no problem communicating. Even though the staff spoke a little hesitantly, they were so kind that I kept wanting to chat with them, haha.

From tandoori chicken to naan and curry: taste and texture

Lunch set salad and pickles
Lunch set and water pitcher

After we ordered the lunch sets, the salad and pickles came out. Somehow even the water pitcher felt exotic, haha.

Tandoori chicken served with seasoned onions

The tandoori chicken came with seasoned onions. The spices made the chicken feel different, and its slight heat suited our tastes. The seasoned onions tasted familiar, like they had been tossed in kimchi seasoning.

Chewy naan with a curry aroma

The naan was truly the perfect touch. It had a curry aroma and such a chewy texture that the more I chewed, the more I wanted to keep eating it. Haha.

Lunch set curry and naan
Curry eaten with naan

There were different chicken and butter curries, and you can adjust the spice level. We ordered ours mildly spicy, and it was exactly the delicious kind of spicy.

Recommended chicken and butter curries

We chose the chicken curry and butter curry. They were recommended as the bestsellers, and after trying them, I completely agreed!!!

Naan with rice and curry

It was delicious to wrap rice and curry in naan, dip the naan in curry, or simply tear off and eat the naan on its own.

A lunch I loved right through the dessert milk tea

For dessert, you can choose coffee or milk tea. We had the milk tea, and our eyes went wide after one sip.

Wow!! This milk tea did not taste like something that came as a complimentary service.

My friend said she wanted to come back just for the milk tea.

Final thoughts on Bombay Broy Pangyo

Meal at Bombay Broy Pangyo

From the restaurant atmosphere to the mains and dessert milk tea, I completely fell for Bombay Broy Pangyo. You know when you get tired of the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese food you eat all the time?!!

When you want something different then, please give it a try~! I highly recommend it.

I am planning to bring my kids soon. I think they will be fascinated seeing the foreign staff and love eating the naan. Haha.
