Today I'm sharing the story of a proper hanwoo (Korean beef) meal I had in Ingye-dong, Suwon. If you love meat, just the photos should already make your mouth water, hahaha.

Where is Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, and is there parking?
This time I visited Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch in Ingye-dong, Suwon, Gyeonggi. There's plenty of parking space right in front of the restaurant, and it's free.
Especially for family gatherings or group get-togethers where people show up in multiple cars, you can worry a little less about parking here. So considering accessibility too, I think this is a pretty solid option for anyone looking for a good Suwon hanwoo restaurant. If you're searching for Ingye-dong restaurants for a date, a family meal, or a work dinner, this kind of setup feels like a real plus.
How many people fit in the private rooms at Yeongpo Hwa-ro?
Walking into Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, I found private room-style tables set up. Personally, at a grill restaurant, I prefer sitting comfortably in an independent space rather than being too close to the next table, so this suited me well. ^^
The free rooms hold a minimum of 6 up to a maximum of 22 people, and the group seating apparently goes up to 76. So it's a good fit whether it's a small family gathering or a large company dinner. Baby chairs are also available, so families visiting with kids can eat comfortably too.
Wheelchair access is available as well, which was impressive — the space clearly considers a range of situations. At this point it felt less like just a place to eat meat and more like a genuinely versatile gathering spot in Ingye-dong.
What comes in the premium 1+, 1++ hanwoo platter, 150g for two
Being a proper Suwon beef restaurant, Yeongpo Hwa-ro has a premium 1+, 1++ hanwoo set! I ordered the premium hanwoo platter, haha. I was curious how each cut would taste, hahaha.

So the menu I ordered today was the hanwoo platter, 150g for two. 🥩🥩 The platter was made up of jebichuri, upjinsal, sirloin, salchisal, galbisal, and bucheotsal. With several cuts on one plate, there's this small joy in deciding which one to eat first, hahaha.
Especially with hanwoo, the texture and fat content differ slightly by cut, so it's fun comparing them as you eat. From the top left I remember it being sirloin, salchisal, galbisal, and from the bottom left, bucheotsal, upjinsal, jebichuri. ^^
Also, the meat at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch apparently uses a water-aging method. They said it's a process where the raw meat is vacuum-packed at a constant temperature below 2 degrees, minimizing outside temperature influence and preventing juice loss from gravity. I was curious how this aging method would actually come through in the taste.

The banchan: myeongi namul and pa muchim
At Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, it's not just the meat that shows up — I found myself checking out each banchan (side dish) one by one. First up, myeongi namul (wild garlic leaf)!! It's genuinely soft and this is the real deal!!

When you're eating hanwoo, your mouth can start to feel heavy from all the savory fat, and myeongi namul and kimchi turned out to be the best combo for that!! That sharp, tangy kick kept waking up my palate in between bites.

They also served cucumber peppers to cut through the richness. And on top of that, freshly tossed sweet-and-tangy pa muchim (scallion salad)! I'm personally a fan of pa muchim with meat, so I really liked this. The deep flavor of the beef meeting the tangy pa muchim kept my chopsticks moving, hahaha.
Grilling the hanwoo platter for two, cut by cut

The hanwoo platter finally arrived! Seeing the look and quality of the meat for the first time, I actually let out a wow, hahahaha. Now, let's get grilling. 🔥
The moment the meat hits the grill, the whole vibe changes. With that sizzling sound and the savory smell rising up, conversation just pauses for a bit. Lol.

Jebichuri (beef neck fillet)
I started with jebichuri first. It's a clean-tasting cut where the deep, distinct beefy flavor builds up the more you chew, so it was a great first bite.

It looks like just two pieces in the photo, but that's because it was thick, so I cut it in half, hahaha. It was thick-cut and delicious!!

Ate it with the bean sprout pa muchim too! Wrapped it in myeongi namul~ dipped it in salt~ genuinely all delicious!!! The meat quality was amazing, hahaha. Juice explosion!! Hahaha.
Upjinsal (brisket)
Next was upjinsal. It had a moderate amount of fat, so the savory flavor really came through clearly.

If you love that distinctive hanwoo richness, this is probably a cut you'd be very satisfied with.
Sirloin and salchisal (chuck flap)
And of course, you can't skip sirloin and salchisal!!! Sirloin was a great cut for really tasting hanwoo's basic savoriness and soft texture. Dipped lightly in salt, it was clean but the beefy aroma came through clearly.
Salchisal goes without saying. The fat that melts smoothly in your mouth and the savory flavor were captivating.
Personally, rather than dipping in a bunch of different sauces, I'd recommend trying the first bite with just a little salt to taste the meat itself.

Galbisal (boneless short rib) and bucheotsal (top blade)
This is galbisal, my favorite cut, hahaha. Galbisal was savory with a juicy bite when you chewed it. If you prefer meat with a bit more chew rather than something purely soft, galbisal would probably be quite satisfying.

Bucheotsal had its own distinct charm. Each cut had a slightly different texture, which made me think 'I'm glad I ordered the platter.' Comparing the flavor differences that you'd never notice with just one cut made the meal that much more fun.
So when I look for a good Suwon beef restaurant, I care less about just the amount of meat and more about whether I can taste a variety of cuts like this. In that sense, this hanwoo platter's advantage was being able to enjoy several cuts at once.

Free doenjang sulbap and patbingsu to finish
While I was busy eating, the doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice) showed up. And I was surprised again to hear it was complimentary, hahaha. You know that feeling when a spoonful of doenjang sulbap after eating meat fills you up nicely?

With the rich flavor of the beef still lingering in my mouth, eating the warm, savory doenjang sulbap alongside it really elevated the finish of the meal. Personally, with this kind of dish, even after I'm already pretty full from the meat, my spoon somehow keeps going back for more.

As I was getting ready to head home, the owner even brought out patbingsu (shaved ice with red beans) as a complimentary treat. Wait... after all that meat and doenjang sulbap, patbingsu too? Hahaha. This was a totally unexpected dessert and genuinely touching. Hahaha. When your mouth feels a bit heavy after eating meat, wrapping up with sweet, cool patbingsu made for a happy end to the meal. Little touches of service like this really tend to stick in your memory. ^^
To wrap up, the biggest appeal of Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch was being able to compare the savory flavor of aged hanwoo across several cuts. Maybe because of the water-aging method, the beefy aroma came through quite distinctly when grilled, and the fat content and texture differed by cut, making each bite fun.
So it seemed like a solid choice for anyone looking for a comfortable place to eat with a group, whether for a family gathering or a work dinner. Especially with the private room seating, I'd definitely recommend saving this one if you're looking for a good Suwon beef restaurant in Ingye-dong!! Hahaha. If you want to eat proper hanwoo in Suwon in a clean space at a relaxed pace, this is worth having on your list of Suwon beef restaurants.
Is Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch worth it? Final thoughts
They say you eat delicious meat in silence, and that was exactly this day. Hahaha. Enjoying the flavor of each cut with the hanwoo platter, filling up with doenjang sulbap, and finishing with patbingsu on top!
Parking was easy and the rooms were well set up, so it's a place you can use flexibly depending on the occasion. If you enjoy comparing flavors cut by cut by ordering the platter, this is worth a visit as a Suwon beef restaurant.
