Late-night toast and coffee date at Hongrad Suwon Station, Suwon café

Hongrad's Mangpo Station branch is famous for its great atmosphere and tasty desserts, and I visited it a few months ago. Recently a friend told me there's also a Hongrad near Suwon Station, close to her place, so I went to check out Hongrad Suwon Station Branch.

Here it is~ It's at the end of Rodeo Street, on the 2nd floor, so you'll need to look carefully to find it. This Suwon Station-area café has genuinely beautiful interior design, which is why it's often listed as a date spot~ It was fun capturing all the nicely styled corners in photos. ^^ If you like visiting pretty places, you'll probably be satisfied.

Hongrad Suwon Station Branch: location and how to get there

• 61-1 Hyanggyo-ro, 2nd floor, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
• Hours: Daily 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Walk straight down Rodeo Street from Suwon Station for about 10 to 15 minutes and you'll reach Suwon Tax Office, near which the café is located. It's easier to find if you search it on Naver Map beforehand — I've attached the map above for reference ❤️

Where do you park?

It seems there's no parking available in the building itself. I came by bus, but if you're driving, AK Plaza Suwon is a good option~! Installing the app gives you 3 hours of free parking, and I use it often whenever I visit Suwon Station✨

Spacious store with varied seating

That signature Hongrad CCTV decor! The Mangpo Station branch had it styled the same way — must be Hongrad's own vibe~ The atmosphere is seriously great! And the store was really spacious too. Not the prettiest shot, but I snapped a photo anyway.

Being a Hongrad branch, the seating was varied and comfortable as expected, and the interior space was quite large, so it was easy to find a seat wherever I wanted. Plus, true to Hongrad form, it's open late, making it good for a night date too. ^^

There's a wide range of coffee, plus various teas and non-coffee drinks~ On top of that, I spotted Hongrad's tasty desserts — toasts, brownies, and cheesecakes. I remembered the toast being delicious at the Mangpo branch~~ So I ordered a toast again this time!

Among the toasts, I ordered the amusingly named 'ex-boyfriend toast'! For drinks, I went with an iced Americano and an iced café latte : ) I picked the perfect pairing for a sweet dessert. Iced Americano really is the best match for something sweet.

While looking around, the cheesecake in the display case also looked wonderfully thick and rich : )

So how does the ex-boyfriend toast taste?

Dessert and coffee time at Hongrad Suwon Station Branch, a café with such a nice mood!!! This is the ex-boyfriend toast~ Inside the toast is thick, rich cream cheese, topped with ice cream and blueberry jam.

Sweet vanilla ice cream, bread, cream cheese, and blueberry jam — that combination just can't be bad. Haha.

The ice cream had a rich, high-quality sweetness, and the blueberry jam looked like it actually used real blueberries — good-quality jam! Eating the crispy toast together with the ice cream felt like it filled in exactly the sugar craving I had.

Visiting with good company made Hongrad Suwon Station Branch even better. It's definitely one of the best-atmosphere cafés near Suwon Station~ It's also quiet and comfortable, so I think I'll come back again next time I'm around Suwon Station.
