Busanjin curry restaurant with refills and croquettes: Sarugak20
In short
Sarugak20 is a curry restaurant in Busanjin, Busan, serving rich beef curry with refillable rice and curry. I had half-and-half curry, special curry with poached egg, sausage, and cheese, plus sweet potato cheese croquettes. Verdict: a filling lunch pick for anyone who loves deeply flavored curry.

I heard that the second branch of Moru Restaurant, originally famous in Busan for its curry, had newly opened in Jeonpo, so I went to check it out.
Sarugak20's curry is sooo rich and packed with minced meat, and you can get refills of both rice and curry, so it is a restaurant I can recommend for lunch in Jeonpo.
Location, parking, hours, and takeout

It is on B1, across from the Jeonpo 1-dong Community Service Center.
It is closed every Monday. Hours are 10:00–19:30 Tuesday through Saturday and 10:00–17:00 Sunday. There is no parking support, so I used the nearby Jeil Parking Lot.
Sarugak20 also sells frozen curry for takeout at around ₩5,000–₩6,000, and it was available through Naver Smart Store too. The beef curry was so good that... I want to take home two packs next time.

The interior was full of warm wood tones, and the solid-wood decor suited a Japanese-style curry restaurant perfectly.

They also sell cute little items, so it is nice to browse while you wait! Even the room-like space is cute.

There are about six counter seats, so I would recommend it if you are looking for a Jeonpo lunch spot to eat alone.

The cozy separated area has two cute floor-seating tables for four, plus a table for six, so it seems like up to eight people could sit together. Sarugak20 in Jeonpo works for anything from a solo meal to a lunch gathering.
I went on a weekend and got in right away for lunch, but I saw a wait at dinner, so... I want to recommend it as a lunch spot!
The curries and side dish I ordered

I ordered special curry and half-and-half curry with an extra poached egg, plus sweet potato cheese croquettes as a side!
Half-and-half curry: cream and house-special curry

The half-and-half curry is practically the signature of Moru Restaurant and Sarugak20: mild cream curry made with milk and fresh cream, alongside super-rich house-special curry loaded with minced meat.
The shallow plate can make the portion look small, but it was exactly filling enough for an adult woman, and you can get a refill if you need more.

I added a poached egg topping here. I debated between scrambled egg and poached egg, then picked the poached egg because the owner at Sarugak20 in Jeonpo said to add whatever suited my taste, haha. I broke the yolk and enjoyed the nutty richness.

Mixing the cream and house-special halves together. I loved being able to have both. One bite of the house-special curry with its strong, rich beef flavor, then one bite of cream curry—the balance was just right.
It depends on your taste, but if I went back to Sarugak20 for lunch in Jeonpo and had to choose only one, I think I would order the house-special. It was spicy and incredibly rich, great with rice and toppings.
Special curry with poached egg, sausage, and cheese

The special curry's sausage and poached egg toppings were both right up my alley. I also loved the cheese on top of the curry... A dish I would order again next time—and want to take home too!!

I usually like vegetable curry or sausage curry, but every sausage tastes different, so I tried just one serving of special curry. The sausage was plump and tasty. It went so well with the rich curry sauce and salty sausage.
How much are the rice and curry refills?

Of course, I love curry, but... it was delicious, so... refill complete. They gave me more rice and curry, and... it became another full serving.
Me... leaving a curry restaurant this full... I need to recommend this Jeonpo lunch spot to my big-eater friend.
Sweet potato cheese croquettes, 2 pieces

The sweet potato cheese croquettes I ordered as a side at Sarugak20 in Jeonpo—sweet-potato-cheese croquettes, haha. They taste best while warm.

The outside was crisp, while the cheese inside stretched beautifully and was soft. I recommend them as a side when curry alone feels a little incomplete!

I need to go back to the delicious Jeonpo curry restaurant Sarugak20 soon~~
