Busan Jeonpo bar with spicy cream pasta and chicken nanban: Dorandoran

Every time I go to Jeonpo I realize how many places I still haven't been — so many hidden restaurants and bars tucked into the alleys, haha! This time I found another gem in the back streets ✨ "Dorandoran Jeonpo," a spot a lot of people go to for the vibe — I finally checked it out myself 🍻💗

Up an alley and one flight of stairs: inside Dorandoran

It's set back in an alley, so at first I was like, where is this place? and circled the block once, haha. Then I turned into the alley and spotted the Dorandoran sign — soon as I saw it, I knew this was the spot 👀

Isn't the vibe amazing?! Every little prop and detail of the interior was exactly my taste!!!!

Even though I went early, the soft lighting gave it such a cozy, emotional feel! And every seat had its own charger — so thoughtful!! Dorandoran really is fun just to look around.

What we ordered from the Dorandoran Jeonpo menu

They had everything from highballs to a huge range of liquor, and the side dishes to match were just as varied!!! Steak, hot pots, pasta, sides — every single thing was exactly my type,,,haha. Honestly, no lie, I love every menu item here,,,haha. Ordered: spicy cream pasta x1 + chicken nanban x1 + Jinro soju and Cass beer 💗

A crunchy snack came out as a complimentary side! And wow,,, the water was so refreshingly cold!!!! Might sound like nothing, but ice-cold water while drinking is such a small win,,,haha.

But,,,,this is even better,,,,haha. Somaek (soju-beer cocktail) 💗💗💗 I'd been craving a cold one — and got to enjoy it ice-cold!!!!

And right on time, the spicy cream pasta and chicken nanban we ordered arrived!!🍝🍗 Just from the look of them, there was no way these could taste bad,, °❀⋆.ೃ࿔

Seasoned chicken nanban: boneless pieces loaded with sauce

Dorandoran Jeonpo's chicken nanban came piled high with sauce!!!🍗 The red sauce is that familiar, crowd-pleasing sweet-spicy fried chicken flavor everyone likes!!! On top, a mayo-style sauce is drizzled lightly, making the whole thing extra sweet ✨ Since it's boneless, it's easy to pick up piece by piece, and with all that sauce it stayed juicy right to the last bite!

Juicy chicken like this pairs so well with beer, right? haha 🍺 Perfect Dorandoran Jeonpo snack for picking at, one piece at a time, over a cold drink!ㅋ.ㅋ

Spicy cream pasta with karaage on top

The spicy cream pasta came with chicken karaage on the side 🍝 Eating just cream pasta can get a little heavy after a while (well, actually I love pasta so I never really get tired of it, haha) — but it was a nice touch having karaage to pick at in between bites, the combo worked really well!

It's a cream sauce but with a spicy kick added, so it wasn't heavy at all — the spiciness kept me reaching for more, haha. Perfect for my pasta-loving palate!!💗 Great as a drinking snack, but the pasta itself was so good I cleaned the whole plate.ㅋ.ㅋ So good.

Is Dorandoran good for a Jeonpo date, group night out or birthday party?

The vibe is great, so it works perfectly as a Jeonpo date bar, and every single side dish was delicious, so I'd recommend it as a Jeonpo bar-food spot too >,< Once you get a little tipsy you start getting sentimental over everything — the windows look pretty, even the power lines outside look kind of poetic 🤣 Sipping a drink while looking out at the Jeonpo alley view, I got completely swept up in the mood 💗

With highballs and all kinds of liquor plus a wide range of snacks, it's worth a visit just to pick and choose whatever suits your mood!!🫧🤍 And apparently you can host a birthday party here in Jeonpo too!!🎂 Bring a cake for a friend's birthday,,, enjoy good food and drinks, and just talk the night away together!!!
