Jamsil pub with camping-chair rooftop and tteokdoritang: 88 Nogari
In short
88 Nogari Bangi Branch is a multi-floor beer pub in the Bangi-dong food alley near Jamsil Station in Songpa, Seoul, where the 4th floor is an open-air rooftop with artificial turf and camping chairs. Going up at 7pm, we ordered boneless tteokdoritang (spicy chicken and rice cake stew) for 18,000 won and a 500ml Terra draft beer; the 4th floor takes orders only by QR code, so every extra round meant verifying and paying again. The open view of Lotte Tower from 88 Nogari was worth skipping a walk around Seokchon Lake for.

It's become perfect weather for yajang (outdoor drinking)...! Everyone goes to Hangang or Jongno for it, but I loved doing yajang in the Jamsil Bangi-dong food alley so much that I went looking again for a camping-vibe Bangi-dong bar with a rooftop, good for yajang in Jamsil!!
And here it is — 88 Nogari! As the weather cooled down, they opened up the rooftop floor. You can see Lotte Tower, it's wide open, and it was genuinely great — a bar perfect for yajang in Jamsil! Let's get into 88 Nogari~

How to find 88 Nogari Bangi Branch in Bangi-dong
88 Nogari Bangi Branch is a bit past the 1st-floor yajang restaurants as you enter the Bangi-dong food alley from Jamsil Station and head toward the market. You'll spot this huge, flashy Bangi-dong bar right away.
You can check the menu on the 1st floor, and each floor runs differently. You can also see there that the rooftop has opened, so we went straight up, eyes on the rooftop bar only!

What each floor of 88 Nogari is used for
At 88 Nogari, the 2nd floor has regular tables, the 3rd floor is for watching baseball, and the 4th floor is the rooftop. We came at 7pm and could still sit comfortably.
It feels like a good spot for a second round, so past 8pm it was fully booked. I'd recommend coming early!

This is what our seating looked like. It was so good!

The Lotte Tower view from the 4th-floor rooftop
From where I was sitting, I could even see Lotte Tower! Since it's the 4th floor, it's about as high as the top floors of other buildings, and the open feeling was really, really great~

They've laid down artificial turf plus camping chairs and tables, so it really felt like a campsite! We were originally going to walk over to Seokchon Lake but ended up staying put here instead — and I don't regret it one bit, it was that satisfying.

Ordering by QR code on the rooftop floor
88 Nogari, a great bar for yajang near Jamsil Station, has a slightly different ordering system just on the 4th floor rooftop bar — you scan a QR code to order!! Let's take a look at the menu and prices.

There's a wide variety of menu items, and drinks are ordered separately. We started off with two Terra draft beers, 500ml! haha
Since you have to order by QR code, you have to verify and pay by card every single time, so if that kind of hassle bothers you, I'd recommend ordering as much as you can in one go. (Speaking from experience haha) We kept adding drafts one at a time so we ended up doing it over and over — but hey, freshness is everything with draft beer, right? haha

Boneless tteokdoritang at 18,000 won: how big is the portion?
At this Bangi-dong bar, 88 Nogari, what we ordered was boneless tteokdoritang and beer! We were so, so hungry that we went for something that looked filling.

Honestly, since it's bar food, I wasn't expecting much, but it came surprisingly packed with ingredients. For ₩18,000, that's pretty good~

Came with a beer-loving friend, so of course we added another draft, and another~ hahahaha. The draft beer was cold and delicious, there was a nice breeze, and the openness of it all — if you're looking for a good bar for yajang near Jamsil Station, I'd want to come back here again!
