Where is Deulbabae Forest Resom Branch in Jecheon?

Deulbabae Forest Resom Branch is a Korean set-meal restaurant on the 3rd floor of the Forest Club building at 365 Geumbong-ro, Baegun-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungbuk. We visited Resom Forest in Jecheon on our twins' first trip at 6 months old, bringing my parents along too, and this Jecheon Korean restaurant turned out to be a great pick even for a multi-generation meal. Here's my honest review of the delicious Deulbabae!

Resom Forest in Jecheon has several restaurants, but we chose Deulbabae for its Korean menu that pretty much everyone likes. Since Deulbabae sits on the 3rd floor of the Forest Club, guests staying in the Resort building need to walk over to the Forest building. If you're not a Resom guest, you can park in the building's B4-B6 underground lot.

Does a twin stroller fit inside Deulbabae's dining room and private room?

I worried a place we'd need to push a twin stroller through might be cramped or a bit dated, but it was so clean and spacious that it was actually great for visiting with a baby.

On one side there are rooms of various sizes, so it's a spot that works for small gatherings as well as meet-the-parents dinners, 70th birthdays, and first-birthday parties.

There are five set-meal options — scallion bulgogi, dried yellow corvina, soy-marinated crab, spicy pork, and grilled mackerel — plus mixed 2-person and 4-person sets, so there's plenty to choose from.

There's a microwave, which is handy if you're traveling with a baby eating baby food, and although it's not in the photo, there was also a high chair.

There were also snacks like coffee, popcorn, and puffed corn. I really wanted the popcorn but held back since I was already full...

What we ordered at Deulbabae: scallion bulgogi and spicy pork sets

We ordered two scallion bulgogi sets and two spicy pork sets. If it had just been my husband and me, we'd only have gotten to try one dish, but with four adults we got to sample a variety, which was nice. If you're visiting as a couple, picking one of the combo sets seems like a great way to taste several dishes.

Various seasonal side dishes come with the set, along with japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) and braised kodari pollock, both fitting for a proper Korean set meal.

Sauce-marinated stir-fried pork at Deulbabae

The main dish of the spicy pork set is stir-fried pork. You can choose between soy-based or sauce-marinated, and we went with the sauce-marinated version — it had that familiar smoky, char-grilled pork flavor, and we ate every last onion.

Next up, the scallion bulgogi set. It's meant for two, but the portion was genuinely huge.

Staff prepped the mountain of vegetables for us. The scallion bulgogi set wasn't skimpy on the bulgogi either, and it was generously loaded with bean sprouts, scallions, mushrooms, and glass noodles.

Stone-pot rice and the complimentary cheonggukjang

Every set meal at this Jecheon Resom Forest restaurant comes with stone-pot rice as standard. Finishing it off with hot sungnyung (scorched rice tea) is the best,,

The complimentary cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew). Its rich, deep flavor paired well with everything we ordered.

The scallion bulgogi tasted even better simmered right at the table. It felt like a real, proper meal for the first time in a while.

Is Deulbabae worth it for a check-in or check-out meal?

Even my mom, who's notoriously picky about dining out, was happy with Deulbabae. There aren't that many good restaurants at Resom Forest, so I'd recommend this one for a satisfying meal at check-in or check-out.
