Imun IPARK Xi Mexican restaurant, signature fajita: Eaters Mexican

In short

Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch is a Mexican restaurant on the 3rd floor of the shopping block by the back gate of the Imun IPARK Xi apartments in Dongdaemun, Seoul. On a repeat visit with her husband, the writer ordered the signature fajita for 37,900 won, served with nachos, tortillas, guacamole and tomato salsa, and it was more than enough for two. Parking at Eaters Mexican is free, but it is a mechanical parking tower, so electric vehicles and some car types cannot enter.

It had been a while since I visited my second hometown, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), for a date with my husband. The neighborhood has changed so much since Ichon Imperial Palace Xi went up! There are a lot of good restaurants around now, so I wanted to pick somewhere that wouldn't disappoint — and ended up at a HUFS-area spot known for great Mexican food.

Here's my honest review of Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch, a restaurant near Ichon Imperial Palace Xi 🤎

Where is Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch and how does parking work?

Eaters HUFS Branch is located in the commercial area behind the back gate of Ichon Imperial Palace Xi. If you're driving, it's easiest to enter from the back gate side of the apartment complex.

If you're walking or coming from HUFS Station, head toward HUFS from Daiso and look for the building with Dessert39 Café right next to McDonald's. There's a big sign attached to the building, so it wasn't hard to find at all.

Free parking is available, which is why my husband and I have come back so many times already. SUVs can park here too, but there are some car types that are restricted, so check before you go haha.

I checked before visiting too, and since it's a mechanical parking tower, electric vehicles are restricted from entering — so I drove my own car instead.

Semi-private room and full-window seats inside Eaters Mexican

Group seating that doubles as a semi-private room

There's a group seating area that doubles as a semi-private room inside, which makes for a nice space to eat with important people. Visiting Eaters again after a while, I was glad to see it's still just as charming and clean as before.

Store seating with sunlight streaming through the large windows
Bright window-side table atmosphere

This place gets a lot of natural light, and the sunlight coming through the big windows was so warm and nice. So we sat at a table with soft sunlight coming in.

There are about 4-5 outdoor terrace seats, but they weren't in operation at the time. It seemed like they'll open once the weather warms up more.

Spacious dining table with hot sauce set out

Each table has plenty of room to spread everything out and eat comfortably. And having hot sauce on every table is one convenient touch.

What is on the menu at Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch?

Here's the menu at Eaters, a HUFS-area favorite. You can enjoy a hearty meal with the 2, 3, or 4-person set menus, and there are also couple menus like the fajita platter.

I ordered my usual, the signature fajita again. 🌮

It had been a while since I had tacos, so my expectations were high — and honestly, among the grilled tacos I've had around northern Seoul, nothing beats Eaters. Even at places with a big reputation, I never felt as impressed as I do here.

Signature fajita, 37,900 won: enough for two

Full spread of the signature fajita

The signature fajita is ₩37,900, and it's plenty for two people 🤎

As a longtime Dongdaemun local and taco lover, it's genuinely hard to find a place where a fajita in the ₩30,000s range comes with this much food. The nachos, tortillas, and side dishes to wrap up with the grilled platter are all so solid, it's easy to enjoy however you like.

From guacamole to tomato salsa, you get to enjoy it all with one order. This is the best spread I've found around any university neighborhood, including Hoegi, Sungshin Women's University, and Korea University.

A bite of fajita piled on nachos

My husband likes wrapping his in tortillas, while I like piling mine on nachos — and at Eaters, this HUFS-area favorite, we can both eat exactly the way we want, which is why this is the only place around here I keep coming back to.

It's such good value for the price that there's no reason not to come here whenever I'm craving tacos.

Finishing up a hearty fajita meal for two

If you want a truly hearty meal for two, I recommend Eaters without hesitation. Three types of high-quality meat, plus tomato salsa and guacamole as standard sides — it's perfect for eating exactly to your taste 🥹

Verdict on Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch

Who should visit this Dongdaemun Mexican restaurant?

Eaters Mexican, a HUFS-area favorite, never gets old no matter when or how you eat there, and it never disappoints.

If you're near Ichon Imperial Palace Xi and want a satisfying meal, stop by — you'll walk away thinking, wow, that was a really good meal! Lately it's rare to feel that way about food, but visiting my regular spot again after a while, it exceeded expectations as always.
