Seongsu Station poke spot: steak bowl vs salsa bowl, Le Vegie Wang

In short

Le Vegie Wang Seongsu Space is a poke and salad restaurant on Yeonmujang 1-gil in Seongdong, Seoul. Two friends ordered one steak bowl and one salsa bowl and shared them: the chickpea hummus went well with the steak, and the oat rice had both saying the bowls were "way more filling than expected." For a light but genuinely satisfying meal near Seongsu Station, Le Vegie Wang Seongsu Space is a solid pick.

It was a day I'd arranged to meet a friend in Seongsu!!

I was looking for somewhere light and clean to eat and ended up at Le Vegie Wang Seongsu Space!!

Seongsu has plenty of great restaurants and stylish spaces, but the dilemma is always wanting something tasty without it being too heavy..? If you're someone who usually likes clean meals like salads or poke, I bet you've run into this same dilemma before!

On that front, Le Vegie Wang really hit the spot this time! If you're looking for a Seongsu restaurant, a Yeonmujang restaurant, or a Ttukseom salad spot, this is one worth keeping on your radar!!

I liked that it's not just a salad-only spot — the menu is varied enough to suit whoever you're eating with. Plus, a cute Jjanggu stone ♡

Steak bowl vs. salsa bowl — what's the difference?

The menu I chose was the steak bowl.

At first, since it's poke, I wondered if the portion might be a little small, but when it arrived it was actually generous and satisfying. It wasn't just a light salad full of vegetables — with oat rice, a variety of vegetables, and protein toppings together, it was plenty filling as a full meal.

What stuck with me most was the hummus. I'd heard it was made with chickpeas and wondered if it might taste too beany, but once I tried it, it was much smoother and nuttier than expected. 🐥🐤🐥🐤 The thick-yet-soft texture paired really well with the steak, so I naturally kept dipping into it as I ate the poke. My friend ordered the salsa bowl, and she really enjoyed it too.

Where the steak bowl felt nutty and soft, the salsa bowl was a bit more tangy and refreshing — each had its own charm.

Can one poke bowl really fill you up?

After finishing, we both said the same thing: "this is way more filling than expected." When you're reaching for salad or poke to eat healthy, you sometimes end up feeling a bit shortchanged — but Le Vegie Wang had little of that letdown. It was filling enough while not feeling heavy afterward, which I liked.

A hallmark at Le Vegie Wang is the fiber-rich oat rice and premium seasonal leafy greens as the base, topped with clean, whole-ingredient toppings so you also get your protein.

You can also ask to add or remove rice when ordering!! And mix-in changes are possible too, so you can tailor it to your taste. Next time I'd like to try the tempeh menu. I usually like tofu and beans, so I'm curious what tempeh tastes like?? The hummus felt a little unfamiliar at first too, but it turned out to pair really well, so if you like trying new ingredients, tempeh could be fun to try!!

Ambience and seating

Comfortable yet trendy — the space itself was one of Le Vegie Wang's charms, not just the food. You get that trendy Seongsu vibe without it feeling too chaotic or overwhelming, making it a nice spot to relax and chat with a friend over a meal.

The spacious layout makes it good for dates or gatherings, and it also felt comfortable enough for a solo meal without self-consciousness. In Seongsu, you spend so much time just moving between cafés and restaurants — a place like Le Vegie Wang, where you can comfortably settle in, feels like a good meeting spot too.

Parking and pets

Having parking available was another plus. Most people visit Seongsu by public transit, but for anyone driving, parking availability is quietly a big deal, isn't it?? Even if you drive to Seongsu, this made things a lot more convenient.

Being able to bring pets along also caught my eye. It'd be a great spot for a light meal after a walk with your dog. Personally, what I liked most about Le Vegie Wang was that it felt less like "I'm on a diet" and more like "I just had a genuinely tasty meal."

If you regularly watch what you eat, healthy food still has to actually taste good for you to keep eating it — and on that front, it should suit anyone who likes poke and salad. On the other hand, even if you're not watching your diet, there's curry, sandwiches, and soup to choose from, so it's easy to eat together without any pressure.

So rather than introducing Le Vegie Wang simply as "a place you go when dieting," I'd rather describe it as a Seongsu restaurant worth finding on a day you want a tasty, filling, yet clean meal. When you want to avoid something too heavy in Seongsu, when you want a clean meal, or when you're searching for a Ttukseom salad spot or a Yeonmujang restaurant, this could be a solid option.
