Hi, I'm Anna, and I record my tasty everyday life. My daughter loves tacos, so we visited Taco Dot, a taco spot in Cheongna, on a Friday evening around 7:30. We hadn't had dinner together in a while, and since she enjoys Mexican food, we ordered the fajita platter. Being able to wrap meat, shrimp, and fried rice in tortillas to our own taste made it an even more generous and fun meal.

Taco Dot Cheongna Branch let us park right in front of the store, which was convenient. Parking availability there can vary depending on the time and how busy the restaurant is, so it might be worth checking ahead during peak hours. We arrived around 7:30 on a Friday evening and there was exactly one spot left.

We browsed and ordered comfortably using the tablet at our table. The set menus paired a fajita with pasta, quesadilla, or BBQ pork ribs. The fajita + pasta set was 51,900 won, the fajita + quesadilla set was 55,900 won, and the fajita + pork ribs 400g set was 59,900 won. Among the main menu items were the fajita platter at 38,900 won, BBQ pork ribs 400g at 23,900 won, and BBQ pork ribs 1kg at 49,900 won, along with a variety of taco options. We chose the fajita platter, which let us enjoy several types of meat, shrimp, fried rice, and tortillas together.

What comes on the 38,900 won fajita platter?

The fajita platter arrived on a hot pan piled generously with plump shrimp, meat, sautéed vegetables, and fried rice. Tortillas and several sauces and sides came alongside it.

The appeal of the fajita platter was having so many different ingredients on one plate that we could pick and choose to our taste. It was so generously portioned that we ended up taking several photos the moment it arrived.

Wrapping meat and shrimp into a tortilla

We first tried topping a warm tortilla with meat, shrimp, and sautéed vegetables, then adding a bit of sauce. The shrimp had a springy texture, and the grilled meat and vegetables blended together with a savory flavor. Adding a little fresh tomato and sauce on top gave it a lighter, more interesting taste that wasn't heavy at all. Even with the same ingredients, the flavor changed depending on which sauce we used, so it was fun making each wrap a little differently.

Fried rice included: how filling is the platter for two?

The fajita platter at Taco Dot Cheongna Branch also came with a generous portion of fried rice, which made it feel very filling.

The fried rice was delicious on its own with meat and shrimp, and it also worked well wrapped inside a tortilla together with the other ingredients.

Would we go back to Taco Dot when we crave tacos?

It was an evening where we could relax and chat over tacos my daughter loves. Parking right in front of the store made the visit easy, and the fajita platter was fun for mixing and matching different ingredients and sauces to our taste. The portion was generous enough for the two of us to share a hearty meal. Next time we're craving tacos, I'd like to come back and try the other menu items one by one.
