Omokcheon bakery café, 5 gift-wrapped bagels 30,600 won: Orange Bagel

I've been going to Suwon every so often lately, so I brought a Suwon post again after a while. After having my baby, even Suwon started to feel far away and I barely went — but when my baby got hand-foot-mouth disease and couldn't go to daycare, we ended up staying at my parents' place. So I've been to Suwon a few times recently.

There's one large café I pretty much always stop by when I'm in Suwon, and this time was no exception. It's famous as a bakery café in Omokcheon, Suwon, called Orange Bagel — I'd guess more than half the people living in Suwon know it, it's really that big a café.

How easy is parking at Orange Bagel?

The parking lot alone at Orange Bagel is huge, and cafés in this neighborhood generally seem to have easy parking. As someone who lives near Suwon Station, I'm so jealous. Suwon Station is always crowded wherever you go, but here in Omokcheon it's so clean and quiet, which I love.

What the big Omokcheon bakery café looks like from outside

The café is surprisingly huge even from outside — genuinely enormous, and the interior design is beautiful too. It's such a big, pretty building that you almost forget it's a café. It seems like it opened right when bagels were at peak trend, and I think it's the highest-quality of all the large cafés in Omokcheon, Suwon.

Inside Orange Bagel: floors 1 to 3

The interior is decorated with a different look on each floor from 1 to 3. The first floor looks like this. Honestly, because of my baby I rarely get to relax and enjoy a café — I usually go just to pick up bagels — but the tables are wide and the chairs are comfortable, so it's also a great place to actually sit and use as a café.

But still, the best thing about Orange Bagel is that the bagels themselves are genuinely delicious. And it's nice that you don't really have to worry about sellouts or waiting — they make plenty.

Orange Bagel's bagel line-up and what sells out by afternoon

I tried to photograph the bagel lineup in detail to show you properly. It's not that nothing ever sells out — in the afternoon quite a few menu items were gone. But there's such a wide variety that there was still plenty left, and thankfully I could buy what I wanted. The one disappointment was that the Laugen bagel I wanted was sold out.

First off, there are bagels loaded with generous fillings — a scallion cream bacon bagel and a crab and shrimp bagel.

But honestly, I prefer simpler bagels I can just bite straight into, rather than those plump filled ones. So I wanted to buy the Laugen bagel, but it was sold out — such a shame. Guess I have to go again next time.

The five bagels chosen this time and the price

What I picked was a three-flavor set plus a mocha bun and a garlic bagel. The olive bagel is one my husband and I buy without fail every time we go — simple but really delicious. And the double cheese bagel, loaded with cream cheese, might sound like it would be heavy with that much cream inside, but it's actually much lighter and less rich than you'd expect.

I picked out five solid choices, but the one I'd most recommend from this Orange Bagel visit is the ang-butter bagel (sweet red bean and butter filling). I never knew butter, red bean, and bagel could go together this well. And even buying this generously, it only came to about ₩30,000, so the value is really good too.

At the counter there's also a drink menu board, and they have quite a wide variety of drinks too. I usually get a drink as well, but this time I had to hop straight in the car and go, so I just picked bagels. It came to ₩30,600.

Cream cheese sold separately, and bagel chips too

Near the counter, they also sell cream cheese separately, and there are various events going on. Let me show you in more detail.

The cream cheese comes in a lot of varieties. I personally like bagels that already come spread, but if you prefer to control the amount yourself, you could buy a plain bagel and cream cheese separately and spread as much as you like. Something fun I noticed was that they also sell bagel chips. I'm not sure if I just missed it last time or if it's a new item, but if you like crunchy snacks, I'd recommend the bagel chips too.

Naver review event: free drink or bagel chips

And there was this amazing event — apparently if you write a review, they give you a drink or bagel! The drink is a hidden drink, and for the bagel, it's not a regular bagel but the bagel chips I just mentioned. It's not a complicated review either — a simple receipt review that takes less than a minute gets you this, which is amazing.

Another reason I recommend this bakery café in Omokcheon, Suwon, is that the packaging is really pretty, so it's great for gifting. If you buy 4 or more bagels, they'll wrap them beautifully like this. And they even do it for free.

Orange Bagel's goods and gift shop

While my bagels were being wrapped, I looked around the store a bit, and right next to it there's a goods and prop shop with all sorts of Orange Bagel merchandise and fun little items.

I recently visited Daejeon and saw the Sungsimdang prop shop, which was so much fun — this gave me the same feeling. I went with my child, and she had so much fun looking around here, so it was a great way to kill some time too.

They sell clothes too, and there was even a shirt that said Samsung Galaxy S26, which made me wonder if it's some kind of collaboration — interesting. Is it because Suwon has Suwon Samsung Bluewings?

Why Orange Bagel works for a visit with a child

Orange Bagel is spacious and clean throughout, so it's a really good place to bring a child. They shouldn't run around, obviously, but there's room for kids to move around, and since there are plain bagels and Laugen-style bagels, it's also good for eating together with little ones.

I packed everything up neatly like this — only four fit in the box, so one was wrapped separately. The menu items I'd recommend this time are the ang-butter bagel and the olive bagel. But honestly, my true favorites are the garlic bagel and the mocha bun. Hehe.

I'm so happy that such a great large café opened up in Omokcheon, Suwon. It's already been open for quite a while, and it makes me happy that it hasn't closed and just keeps getting more and more popular. I hope this place is still around 10, 20, 30 years from now.
