No-wait deep choco bagel & takeout box at Orange Bagel, Suwon

In short

Orange Bagel is a large two- to three-floor bagel café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. On a one-night Suwon trip with her boyfriend, the writer skipped the wait, ate a deep choco bagel and the signature orangeano, and boxed up three more bagels — scallion cream bacon, red bean butter, and Laugen — to take home. Verdict: the American-style interior is worth an hour of photos, and the Laugen butter bagel is the one to get.

On a one-night, two-day trip to Suwon with my boyfriend, we went looking for a great bagel spot ><

I really love chewy bagels, but the famous London Bagel always has such a long wait that I never even dared to try it ㅜㅜ This time though, I went to Orange Bagel in Suwon and swept up a storm of delicious bagels haha

15 minutes by car from Suwon Station, near Gosaek Station

Orange Bagel is about a 15-minute drive from Suwon Station! The nearest station is Gosaek Station haha. This area seemed to have quite a few large restaurants and cafés🫶

Orange Bagel has a big parking lot so you don't need to worry too much, but on weekends the crowds can fill it up, so I'd recommend arriving early, right around when the bagels come out haha

The moment I walked in, the first thing I noticed was that spacious coolness typical of a large café. The second thing was the stylish interior💕

Interior with an exotic, New York bagel shop feel

The exotic interior felt like stepping into a bagel shop in the middle of New York, and it was so good for photos haha. The little decorated corners were just so cute✨

Every bakery item here is a bagel — how many kinds are there?

True to its name, every bakery item at Orange Bagel is, well, a bagel! And the variety is so wide that anyone, any age, can find a bagel flavor they'll love🙌

I used to think a bagel just meant a plain one with cream cheese, but bagels these days have really evolved.

and more — it's full of bagel flavors you'd never usually get to try in daily life🥯

Of course, if you're the type who says a plain bagel with cream cheese is the best, don't worry — they have plenty of cream cheese options ready too🫶

Goods shop and a Suwon Samsung cheering event

After picking my bagel and ordering a drink, I browsed the goods shop next door while waiting. Goods at a bagel shop — isn't that a fun surprise haha. The goods were surprisingly good quality and cute, so watch out, you might get tempted😆

In one corner of the goods shop, there was also an ongoing event to leave a one-line message cheering on Suwon Samsung hahaha. They pick the most impressive message and give that person a free drink plus bagel, so of course you have to join in?!

After getting our bagels and drinks, we headed up to the 2nd floor. Next to the stairs going up, there was an oven where you can warm up the bagels you bought. ❌Note: some bagels can't go in the oven❌

American-style seating and photo spots on the 2nd floor

Orange Bagel is a large café spanning floors 2 and 3, and the 2nd floor where I sat especially stood out for its American-style sofas and tables🙌 There are photo spots all around, so I'd recommend taking your time and wandering slowly✨

It's a bagel shop, but I ended up spending almost an hour just looking around the café ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If you bring a girlfriend who loves photos like me, you'll definitely get bonus points for choosing this place💕

Seating areas with different concepts inside the café
A roofed spot with a terrace-like feel

Another plus is that every seating area has a different concept, so even though it's all one space, you get to feel a bunch of different vibes. This spot has a roof but feels like a terrace — one of the ones that really gave off that American feel🇺🇸

A café corner with a strong American vibe

That's it for the café tour — now let's actually eat the bagels and drink we ordered🙌 Of the four bagels we ordered, we asked for three to be boxed up to go and decided to eat the choco bagel there haha

🍽️ Orangeano

Orange Bagel's signature orangeano drink

The orangeano🍊 made me go 'huh?' the moment I saw it on the menu. I couldn't imagine the flavor at all, so I got curious and ordered it>< Apparently, just like the name Orange Bagel, the orangeano is also a signature menu item. You'd think espresso shots and orange juice wouldn't go together(?), but it's the kind of magical drink you just keep sipping.

🍽️ Deep choco bagel

Deep choco bagel with rich chocolate filling

The deep choco bagel has a rich, thick chocolate flavor just as its name suggests — visually it looked so sweet that I hesitated to reach for it, but one bite in, the sweetness was actually just right, and I kept going back for more🍫 It's probably the menu item kids would love the most🙌

Box packed with three bagels

Three bagels packed into a takeout box

The remaining three bagels came packed so nicely in a pretty box haha. They even included a piece of paper introducing Orange Bagel, styled like a newspaper article — it felt almost too nice to throw away><

From front to back: scallion cream bacon, red bean butter, and Laugen bagel haha. The one I was most excited about was the Laugen bagel! Orange Bagel uses really good butter, so if you want to fully taste that buttery flavor, the Laugen bagel is the best choice🫶

🍽️ Scallion cream bacon bagel

Scallion cream bacon bagel topped with scallions and bacon

The scallion cream bacon bagel, packed with salty bacon and fragrant scallions on cream cheese, nailed that sweet-and-salty combo.

You might wonder if scallions really work in a bagel, but one bite and it makes total sense — it's also hearty enough to work as a breakfast substitute. My pick for second place after the Laugen bagel!

🍽️ Laugen bagel

The Laugen butter bagel, shaped like a pretzel and stuffed with a big chunk of butter, is my absolute top pick — I brought it home and ended up finishing the whole thing with my mom right there ㅠㅠ

Laugen butter bagel with slightly melted butter

By the time I got home with it packed up, the butter had melted a little, but that actually seemed to intensify that nutty, savory butter flavor even more. The Laugen butter bagel lets you enjoy both the nutty richness of the butter and the chewy texture of the bagel — one of Orange Bagel's most popular items><

Final shot of bagels and drinks at Orange Bagel, Suwon

If you're looking for a great date spot near Seoul with a large café plus amazing bagels, I highly recommend Orange Bagel in Suwon!! Make sure you try the Laugen butter bagel💕
