Starting my honest review of Forest Jeongbang, which I visited with my kids on our Jeju family trip last week~!^^

On our 2-night, 3-day trip to Jeju with the kids last week, I was looking for a café to rest at in Seogwipo and came across Forest Jeongbang 🧡 On a Jeju trip, a pretty café is nice, but when you're with kids, what really matters is whether the space feels roomy, whether there's something the kids will eat, and whether you can comfortably stay even for a short while. Forest Jeongbang is split into 1st and 2nd floors, and we got to explore an outdoor garden, terrace, and rooftop too :) The ocean view from up high was especially impressive, so I wanted to introduce it to anyone looking for a café recommendation in Seogwipo 💕
Where is Forest Jeongbang? Hours and parking
Forest Jeongbang is located at 9 Chilsimni-ro 214beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju, South Korea (1st-2nd floor), open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Parking is free.

The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the building itself, accented with black and orange. It stood out even from a distance against the surrounding green Jeju scenery 🧡 There were character props out front, so the kids couldn't just walk past — they spent a while looking at them :) When you're going around cafés with kids, having little things like this to see is oddly welcome~!
Outside, there was a garden area with stone paths and plants woven together. There was even a dol hareubang (stone grandfather statue) that seemed to symbolize Jeju, so the kids had fun looking around while passing the time! Rather than feeling like a quick café stop, it felt more like a place to rest for a while during our Jeju trip :) It's worth noting for anyone looking for a dog-friendly café in Seogwipo, and it also seemed good for families like us looking for a café to spend some relaxed time in with kids 💕
First-floor window seats, high chairs and the second-floor terrace
Forest Jeongbang is made up of a 1st and 2nd floor. The 1st floor has floor-to-ceiling windows letting in plenty of natural light, and it's neatly decorated in mostly white tones :)

The tables were spaced fairly generously, so it didn't feel too cramped finding a seat with the kids! Best of all, they had kids' chairs ready. When I'm going around Jeju cafés with the kids, checking whether there are kids' chairs is a must, and Forest Jeongbang had them, which made it comfortable to visit with young children.
Sitting by the window, the outdoor garden and Jeju scenery flowed together naturally, so you could fully feel the Jeju vibe even indoors~! So on a hot or windy day, you wouldn't need to stay outside too long 💛
Going up to the 2nd floor, you find another space with a different atmosphere, plus a terrace. There were tables good for seating several people together, so it was fine for a family visit too :) If you're searching for café recommendations in Seogwipo and looking for somewhere comfortable to stay with kids rather than just a photogenic spot, this kind of layout would feel like an advantage 💕
What you can see from the Forest Jeongbang rooftop
Personally, the space that stuck with me most at Forest Jeongbang was the rooftop. Following the stairs up, you reach an open outdoor space, and out front, beyond green trees and palm trees, the sea spreads out with even the islands on the water visible at a glance~!

There were tables and chairs set up too, so it was great to sit and take in the Jeju scenery 💛 It looks pretty in photos, but going up in person, the view opens up much wider and it really felt like being on a Jeju trip :) The blue sky, clouds, green scenery, and the sea in between all fit into one frame, so it was great for taking pictures!
The kids were also amazed looking around at the wide space and the view outside. That said, on the rooftop it's better for a guardian to keep watching so kids don't get too close to the railing~! If ocean views matter to you, this was a point worth adding to your list of café recommendations in Seogwipo 💕
Drinks we ordered and the tangerine yogurt rice cake
What our family ordered at Forest Jeongbang was the blueberry double yogurt smoothie, strawberry latte, dolce latte, and tangerine yogurt rice cake :)

First, the blueberry double yogurt smoothie caught the eye with its deep purple color. The tart-sweet flavor of blueberry blended with the smooth taste of yogurt, making it refreshing to drink! It was a menu item that suited drinking with the kids in the hot weather during our Jeju trip~!
The strawberry latte had white milk and red strawberries layered nicely, so it looked pretty too. Mixed well, the smooth milk plus the sweet-tart strawberry flavor made it enjoyable like a dessert drink! The dolce latte, which my husband and I liked, let us enjoy a sweet yet nutty coffee flavor together, and it went well alongside dessert.
And since we came to a Jeju café, we couldn't skip a tangerine dessert! The tangerine yogurt rice cake had tangerine pieces tucked between white cream, adding a distinctly Jeju feel. The smooth yogurt flavor blended with the tangy tangerine, and it went well with the drinks! Sharing several items with the kids made the time at the café even more enjoyable 🥰
Why Forest Jeongbang works for a café stop with kids
On this Jeju trip, moving around with the kids naturally changed my criteria for choosing a café 😊 What I liked about Forest Jeongbang was that beyond the indoor space, it had a garden, terrace, and rooftop too, so you could feel a variety of atmospheres in one place!
Kids especially have trouble sitting in one spot for long, but they could move around a bit looking at the outdoor garden, and with kids' chairs ready indoors, it was much more comfortable visiting with children~! It's also worth referencing for those planning a Jeju trip with a dog looking for a dog-friendly café in Seogwipo, and it seems like a good fit for families like us looking for a café recommendation in Seogwipo to stop by during a Jeju trip with young kids ✨
Forest Jeongbang, visited with the kids during our 2-night, 3-day Jeju trip 💛 With generous space across the 1st and 2nd floors and kids' chairs ready, it was comfortable to visit with children. Above all, the ocean view from the rooftop, taking in the blue Jeju sea and islands at a glance, was really beautiful, and the outdoor garden was also nice for the kids to look around for a bit :) If you're looking for a café recommendation in Seogwipo to enjoy an ocean view and rest at leisure during a Jeju trip, or a dog-friendly café in Seogwipo, this might be worth a visit 💘 End of my honest review of Forest Jeongbang ❤️
