After watching a movie together, the place we picked for dinner before heading home was Doseogwan Dwitjip 📚 I first found it by chance back when I was a student visiting Cheongdeok Library — it's affordable and tasty, so I've kept going back ever since haha. Where is Doseogwan Dwitjip in Yongin?

Doseogwan Dwitjip is a Chinese restaurant at 18-21 Guseong2-ro, Giheung-gu, Yongin, right behind Cheongdeok Library. It's such a convenient spot to duck into when you're hungry after a movie that it's become a fixed part of our father-daughter dinner routine.

What we ordered, and why the sets are the best deal

Today we ordered the fried rice set and the cheese jjamppong set 🤤 Since the sets come with sweet and sour pork included, you get tangsuyuk at a low price too — that's why we always go with the sets!!

Fried rice set: fried rice with noodles on the side

My dad always orders the fried rice, and at Doseogwan Dwitjip you get noodles alongside it, so it's like getting two birds with one stone ✌🏿 He usually agonizes over choosing between jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and fried rice, but here he doesn't have to, which he loves lol. The jjajang sauce is neither too salty nor too sweet, just right, and the fried rice has a nice smoky wok flavor that always satisfies him 👍🏿

What does the cheese jjamppong set taste like?

I picked the cheese jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), which comes topped with a generous layer of cheese powder 🧀 The first time I saw it I wondered how this could possibly go with jjamppong, but once you stir it in, it melts into the broth and the flavor gets so much deeper — it's become my favorite menu item now...🥹

There's plenty of seafood in it too, and the cheese stretches out while keeping things savory instead of greasy — the best 🙌🏿 The spicy broth combined with the cheese's nutty richness makes for a bold flavor you keep thinking about 😚

The tangsuyuk that comes with every set

Everything at Doseogwan Dwitjip is good, but the tangsuyuk is a real hidden gem 🤩 They must use clean oil, because the batter always looks pristine — never yellowed or smelling greasy, always fresh, so I always trust ordering it 😆

The meat is thick and has great texture, and the batter is thin and crispy while pairing well with the sauce 🥩 You might worry the set portion would be small, but not at all!!!! You'll definitely leave full 👍🏿

Final verdict on Doseogwan Dwitjip: a 100% repeat visit

You can satisfyingly get fried rice, jjamppong, and sweet and sour pork all in one set, so this is a genuinely great value spot 😉 Since my dad and I can each order something different and share, that made it even better. It was also the perfect, no-pressure place to stop by when we were hungry after a movie.

If I had to name a drawback, the tangsuyuk is so good that we always end up eating it at the restaurant and then packing more to go... haha.
