Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch is located in Yongdam, Jeju, and serves charcoal-grilled fish infused with rich smoky flavor, without breaking the bank♡

It's close to Jeju Airport, so it's a great spot for your first meal after landing in Jeju, or your last meal before heading to the airport!

Where to park at Naneun Jigeum: free Hancheon Bokgaecheon temporary lot

You can use the street parking at 168 Yongmun-ro, Jeju-si! Pull over briefly in front of the restaurant and call the store, and they'll help guide you to parking♡ Or there's free parking at the Hancheon Bokgaecheon temporary lot opposite Jeju Top Mart (3 Yonghan-ro, Jeju-si)! The intersection road across from Baskin Robbins is being run as a temporary parking area, so keep that in mind!

The interior was clean and spacious, making it comfortable to eat in!

For basic banchan (side dishes), they gave us bracken and turnip green stir-fry, seasoned bean sprouts, radish salad, braised soybeans, and soy sauce!

It comes with a mixed grilled fish platter (mackerel + cutlassfish + croaker + flounder), one stew of your choice (cheonggukjang, kimchi jjigae, or sundubu jjigae), and 2 bowls of rice!

The mixed grilled fish platter let us try mackerel, cutlassfish, flounder, and croaker all at once — perfect if you like a variety of fish♡

💙 Mackerel is savory as always, and the flounder that falls off the bone so easily 🐠

Personally, my favorite was the flounder — its clean yet chewy texture was really appealing♡

Picking off the flesh and eating it with warm rice gave a savory, clean flavor that had me eating bite after bite without feeling weighed down♡

The mackerel was charcoal-grilled directly, so the surface was golden brown with a subtle smoky aroma! The flesh inside was moist and tender, with the fatty savoriness unique to mackerel still alive — a piece on warm rice was pure heaven♡

Cutlassfish and croaker on the platter

😋 Clean, tender cutlassfish flesh and croaker packed with meat 👍🏻

The grilled cutlassfish was soft and clean-tasting, so my chopsticks kept going back for more! The cutlassfish's signature clean flavor plus that smoky char made it feel like true Jeju grilled fish♡

The croaker was fun to pick apart — salty and savory, it went really well with the rice♡

Each of the four fish had a different flavor and texture, so it was fun tasting them one by one!

Choosing kimchi jjigae as the stew

🍲 A spicy kimchi jjigae with a bit of a twist

I picked kimchi jjigae for the stew! It was spicy and warm, going well with the grilled fish, but the flavor was a little different from the usual kimchi jjigae — which made it more memorable! It felt familiar yet had some other flavor I couldn't quite place, and it was great for spooning up between bites of grilled fish!

After finishing the meal, I even grabbed a nurungji (scorched rice)-flavored candy on the way out and left in a good mood haha

Worth it for your first meal in Jeju or your last before the flight
