I went home to visit my parents after a while and found out my mom was heading to an esthetic clinic. Couldn't miss that chance, so I tagged along and we turned it into a dinner date together 💕 Whenever we're around Bojeong, there's one restaurant we always stop by — Rustic Smokehouse Yongin Bojeong Branch 🍖
Where is Rustic Smokehouse Yongin Bojeong Branch, and what is it like inside?

If you're looking for a date-night restaurant on the Juk-jeon cafe street in Bojeong-dong, Yongin, this is my top recommendation — and the reason is the atmosphere 🫶🏿 The wood-tone furniture, cozy lighting, and cute little decorations really bring out that Texas feel, so you get a nice exotic vibe 🐎 They've placed decor between the tables too, so there's plenty of distance and it's easy to focus quietly on your meal — great for dates, but also perfect for group gatherings!!
Tonight's order: the B SET and Toowoomba pasta
Since it's a Texas barbecue specialist, you can enjoy BBQ dishes along with a variety of pastas and risottos. There's beef, pork, and even chicken, plus plenty of sides like tacos and mac and cheese 🌮

We ordered the B SET and decided on the Toowoomba pasta 📌 And of course, a Coke Zero~!!
How does the Toowoomba pasta taste?

I love cream pasta so I always go back and forth between Toowoomba and ragu cheese pasta, but today my mom said she wanted shrimp, so we went with Toowoomba 🦐

The cream and shrimp flavors were strong, giving it a rich, heavy taste 👅 I love pasta so much that I used to cook it for my mom all the time when I lived at home, but back then she never really ate much of it, haha... guess it really is different when it's not homemade 🥲 Even I could taste the difference, honestly. The noodles were cooked just right and held onto the sauce well — every bite was full of creamy flavor, and the shrimp and onions were generously added without holding back, making it rich and savory 🥛
TWO MEAT BBQ: 10-hour smoked brisket and pulled pork

The brisket is from the beef point cut, which is naturally tender and savory to begin with, and apparently it's smoked for 10 hours. Maybe that's why the meat was so soft and tender that you barely needed a knife 🍴 The meat and fat were nicely balanced, savory but clean-tasting without being greasy — I loved that 🙌🏿 The pulled pork came finely shredded, and mixed with that black sauce on top it was sweet and salty in the best way — so good!! Might be a barbecue sauce...? I sometimes order pulled pork from sandwich shops too, but this was on a totally different level — you could really tell the meat quality was different!!

Butter rolls come with the meal, and they're so full of buttery aroma that I always debate whether to order extra bread... 🧐 Piling the bread with sauce, coleslaw, and jalapeños to make your own sandwich meant you could eat cleanly without it feeling too heavy — perfect for a date, haha..😅
Verdict: a Bojeong-dong cafe street spot where the meal is the main event
Rustic Smokehouse Bojeong Branch had a gorgeous atmosphere and both the BBQ and pasta were delicious! There are so many restaurants on the Bojeong-dong cafe street, but a lot of them are drinking-focused places, and parking spots are hard to come by. This place, though, makes food the main focus while still letting you have a light drink if you want, and with parking support it was so much more comfortable to visit 😚 The staff were all kind even while busy, which made it even better 🫶🏿
If I had to find a downside, it's that the brisket is so tender that our plate emptied before we even got much of a chance to use our knives 😅 This was already one of many repeat visits, so it's a bit pointless to say, haha, but my answer is always 100% yes to going back. If you're looking for a special meal spot on the Juk-jeon cafe street in Yongin, I recommend Rustic Smokehouse Bojeong Branch 👍🏿
