Bojeong-dong BBQ restaurant birthday quesadilla: Rustic Smokehouse

It was my 35th birthday and I really wanted to eat something good! I'd already had a satisfying Korean meal for lunch, but for dinner I was craving something special — steak, which I don't usually eat!

From the Bojeong-dong café street to Rustic Smokehouse

Before heading to this Bojeong-dong steak spot, we took a walk through the Bojeong-dong café street ~ the weather was so nice ^^ I was in such a good mood.

I did a lot of research before our Yongin trip~ and I'd had my eye on Rustic Smokehouse Yongin for a while, so we planned to go there and look around the neighborhood while we were at it!

Wow, we were so satisfied — it tasted even better than I imagined! Their hours are 11 AM to 10 PM.

What are the interior and parking like at Rustic Smokehouse?

The first thing that struck me the moment we walked into Rustic Smokehouse Yongin Bojeong Branch was the interior. It really felt like stepping into an American steakhouse.

The space was decorated to feel like an American steakhouse or barbecue restaurant, so I was already in a good mood before the food even arrived.

There were plenty of spots for photos too, so it was great not just for food pics but for capturing the restaurant's atmosphere as well.

Having parking available was also a plus for us, visiting with kids.

The BBQ platter ordered for the birthday dinner

The star of the day was, of course, the BBQ platter! You can try several kinds of meat at once, which was great for sharing as a family. My plan was to order the platter, taste everything, and reorder more of whatever was best next time haha.

But honestly, the meat flavor exceeded my expectations. There was a subtle smoky aroma, and the meat was tender and juicy — one bite in and I thought, 'ah, they really know how to do meat here.'

We'd walked around the Bojeong-dong café street with the kids for quite a while, so maybe that's why every piece of meat tasted like heaven. Our whole family's eyes went wide the moment we took a bite lol.

This was a dish that felt even better eating it in person than in photos — the ribs especially were super popular. The sauce was delicious and the rib size was satisfying too.

How was the quesadilla at Rustic Smokehouse?

This was one dish I was truly looking forward to! And it turned out to be a surprisingly satisfying menu item — the quesadilla. Eating it alongside the meat dishes gave us a different flavor to enjoy, and the combination of cheese and filling was good, so it was fine to share with the kids. Except mom and dad ended up eating it all 🥰

Eating BBQ non-stop can get a little heavy, but pairing it with the quesadilla made the meal feel much more varied! Personally, I thought, 'I need to order this again next time.'

The in-store roulette event and a free cola

This visit was extra memorable because it was for my birthday. The store ran a roulette event, and we won a cola, which we drank ice-cold alongside our meal.

It might seem like a small thing, but having a little event like that added on a birthday made me unexpectedly happy. Eating great food with the kids, winning a little birthday prize, and taking tons of photos!

A barbecue restaurant to pair with a Bojeong-dong café street walk

Our route was: walk the Bojeong-dong café street → eat at Rustic Smokehouse.

Strolling slowly with the kids through the café street and then eating delicious BBQ made for a great flow — and honestly, meat tastes best after a lot of walking.

This visit made me understand a little why people keep coming back to this place. Great atmosphere, easy parking, and above all, the meat is what stays with you! Seriously, it's different from other meat.

It was a birthday dinner out with the kids, and everyone was so satisfied — that made the day even better.

I definitely want to come back and try other menu items too — this is a Yongin restaurant I'd revisit for sure! If you're looking for a special meal after walking the Bojeong-dong café street, this is one worth checking out.

Why Rustic Smokehouse works for a dinner with kids

Before the food arrived, the kids pulled out toys from the store's toy box so they didn't get bored waiting~! I really want to praise this.

The onion slices and jalapeños paired so well with the meat and quesadilla.

The ribs were so tender they just slid right off the bone haha — the ribs were my favorite! Our whole family's taste seemed pretty similar.

My son kept asking for more ribs~ We also paired it with the dinner rolls, which disappeared in a flash! Our kids really devoured the bread that came with the meat haha.

Getting to walk around the Bojeong-dong café street and eat delicious meat too made it a pretty satisfying family outing.
