Songdo kalguksu restaurant, no-green-onion kid's bowl: Eonyang Dak
In short
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a chicken noodle soup restaurant on Haedoji-ro in Songdo 1-gongu, Yeonsu, Incheon. On a weekend lunch revisit, the writer ordered two bowls of dak kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) at 11,000 won each, asking for one with the "no green onion, mild" option for her child, then stirred dadaegi chili paste into the second half of her own bowl for a spicy finish. The spicy self-serve kimchi and the rich perilla-and-chicken-bone broth at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu are what keep her coming back.

What kind of restaurant is Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch?
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a chicken noodle soup restaurant on the first floor of 160-15 Haedoji-ro in Songdo 1-gongu, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:00 with last order at 20:30, and the signature dak kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) is 11,000 won.
My go-to spot, Eonyang Dak Kalguksu... Just hearing the name makes my mouth water hahaha I finally revisited after a while

Always delicious no matter when I eat it My craving cooldown was up so I really, really wanted it,,

Parking and what the Songdo dining room is like
The building's basement parking lot is spacious so it's easy to park and when you finish eating and tell them your license plate on the way out they'll register it for you

You could even check the Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Songdo menu on the sign at the parking lot entrance :)

I visited during the weekend lunch rush and there were quite a few customers! But the restaurant is pretty spacious so it never feels overly crowded or packed haha

There's even a 6-person group table so it's a good Songdo 1-gongu spot for going with a group!

There are solo seats too, and since the signature dish is noodle soup, it's a great place for a quick solo meal at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch!

Menu and kiosk ordering at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch sells everything from dak kalguksu to dak gomtang, jjimdak, and suyuk!

Every time I come here I always just order dak kalguksu, but seeing the table next to me eating jjimdak, it looked really good too..? I should try the jjimdak next time haha

Ordering and payment are done through the kiosk set up at every table

"No green onion" and "mild" options: ordering dak kalguksu for a child
A tip for those visiting Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch with kids! The dak kalguksu, easy for children to eat, has 'no green onion' and 'mild' options, handy when coming with your child When I visit with my kid I usually order one bowl with the no green onion, mild option :)

I heard the aged noodles at Eonyang Dak Kalguksu are boiled fresh every 15 minutes :) So cooking time can take about 15 minutes, which is good to keep in mind!

Self-serve side dishes: the spicy kimchi is the real thing
Side dishes are self-service There was spicy kimchi, mild kimchi, and pickled radish

We're a spice-pride couple who didn't even glance at the mild kimchi and loaded up only on spicy kimchi,,haha The kimchi here is the real deal, seriously ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Made with domestic napa cabbage of course! They say it's freshly made every day

The pickled radish was sweet, tangy, and crunchy too, perfect for soothing a mouth still tingling from the spicy kimchi haha

Dak kalguksu, 11,000 won, with half a chicken in the bowl
The dak kalguksu finally arrived The broth, made from long-simmered chicken bones with perilla seeds added, is rich and nutty and it comes with a full half chicken tucked in, so it's a generous, filling bowl

The dak kalguksu I ordered for my kid with the no green onion, mild option looks a bit bare somehow without the green onion(?) but apart from being slightly mild, the taste was almost identical!

Let's eat!!

The chicken is really hearty, right?! There's plenty of meat on it so it's fun to pick apart, and the breast meat was tender and delicious too

The broth is genuinely thick and nutty, so it's delicious even mixed with rice,, My little rice-loving daughter asked us to order rice too and ended up mixing it all in and eating it up neatly🤣🤣

The noodles are just chewy enough while still soft, a flavor both kids and adults love

Eating it with spicy kimchi is pure bliss.. Can't give up the combo of rich dak kalguksu and rich spicy kimchi🤤

Half the bowl mild, half spicy with dadaegi chili paste stirred in
After eating about half, I decided to stir sauce into the last half to enjoy it differently!

Adding the sauce completely changes the broth flavor again, so even though it's the same kalguksu, you can enjoy it in a whole new way! Start off plain and nutty, then stir in the sauce partway through for a spicy kick — I recommend it haha
Why this Songdo chicken kalguksu restaurant is worth a revisit
My go-to spot, and my future go-to spot, Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch The restaurant is comfortable and the dak kalguksu and kimchi are seriously delicious! It's great to come with my kid too, so I keep ending up back here.. I'll be back with another revisit review next time🫡
