Seocho legal district café with cookie showcase and 3 beans: Mini Male

I was in Seocho-dong and found a place where you can grab coffee and enjoy some really good dessert too ☕️🥐 It's Mini Male Roastery & Coffee Bar!

Even the exterior felt a bit different from your average café. With English lettering all over the floor-to-ceiling glass front and tables and chairs set outside, it kind of felt like a small coffee bar in a European alley haha.

If you're looking for a café bakery in Seocho-dong and want to properly enjoy your coffee too, this is a place worth keeping in mind 💓

Mini Male's three house-roasted beans: Balance, Dunkel and decaf

Mini Male Seocho Gyodae Branch has a roastery inside the store, so they roast their own beans! You can choose coffee to your taste from Balance, Dunkel, decaf, and more.

Balance is bright and clean, Dunkel is heavy and nutty like dark chocolate, and decaf is designed to keep that nutty flavor while cutting down on caffeine.

For coffee lovers, it's fun picking a bean to match your taste ☕️ And being able to watch the roasting happen right in the store felt like a charm unique to Mini Male among the café bakeries in Seocho-dong.

How much is the signature Helsinki Latte at Mini Male?

The menu item that caught my eye was the Helsinki Latte! It's said to be Mini Male's signature menu, and according to the menu board, it's priced at ₩5,200 for regular, ₩5,900 for large, and ₩6,600 for venti.

It's a latte inspired by Helsinki, Finland. It's espresso pulled from freshly roasted beans with smooth milk added, so it seemed like it'd be nutty yet easy to drink ☕️💓

There's a wide range of coffee drinks from americano to flat white, cappuccino, vanilla latte, café mocha, and cold brew, plus teas, chocolate, and fruit drinks, so it seems like a fine spot to bring along a friend who doesn't drink coffee.

Cookie showcase: levain, s'more, matcha and PB&J

This is exactly why I want to call Mini Male Seocho Gyodae Branch a café bakery in Seocho-dong >_< Looking at the showcase, the cookies were so hefty they immediately caught my eye haha. There was a good variety too — original levain cookie, s'more cookie, matcha choco chip levain cookie, PB&J cookie.

The s'more cookie in particular had marshmallow sandwiched between rich chocolate cookie, and just looking at it, it seemed thick and sweet 🍪 The PB&J was a peanut butter and jam combo, so it seemed like a familiar yet fresh way to enjoy it! Each cookie was thick and hefty, exactly the style you want to slowly enjoy alongside a cup of coffee.

Croissants, scones and pound cake baked every morning

Mini Male isn't just about cookies! They also had a variety of bakery items ready, from croissants to scones to pound cakes. Seeing the bread lined up like in the photo made me want to try one of everything haha. The scone with a thick layer of cream in the middle in particular was hard to just walk past 🤎

Since they bake bakery items fresh every morning, it seems like a great fit for anyone who wants to enjoy coffee with freshly made bread. There are also individually wrapped cookies, so it looked convenient not just for eating in-store but for taking home too!

A small coffee bar between Gyodae and Seocho stations in Seocho

Mini Male Roastery & Coffee Bar is located in the Seocho-dong legal district between Gyodae Station and Seocho Station. It seemed like a good spot for nearby office workers to drop by for a coffee during lunch, or to rest for a bit before or after an appointment.

The store isn't overly flashy — more of a clean, modern look with metal materials and black tones. You get the vibe of a roastery and a coffee bar at once, so coffee lovers in particular would probably enjoy looking around even more.

Can you get Mini Male cookies packed as a gift?

Mini Male's cookies and bakery items can be packed to go, so they'd work well as a simple snack or a gift too. The hefty levain-style cookie especially has a lot of presence even on its own, so packing one along with coffee seemed like it would make for a nice treat haha.

What I liked is that instead of just a quick cup of coffee, you get to enjoy a range of things in one space — from the house-roasted beans to the signature latte to the bakery items 💓 If you're looking for a café bakery in Seocho-dong, Mini Male Roastery & Coffee Bar is worth remembering!

On a day near Gyodae or Seocho station when I'm craving nutty coffee and a sweet cookie, next time I'd like to properly pick out a Helsinki Latte and a cookie and take my time enjoying them ☕️🍪

With the roastery vibe added on top of that typical urban café bakery feel in Seocho-dong, it was an even more appealing space for coffee lovers >_< 💓
