Gosaek-dong large café in Suwon: Orange Bianco at Orange Bagel

I was craving bagels out of nowhere, so I went back to Orange Bagel in Suwon, a place I'd visited years ago. Even after all this time, it was still packed with customers, and the size of the store and the range of bagels still felt very much like a proper Suwon large café. The Orange Bianco I had this time was one of the best coffees I've had all year!! I came just thinking about bagels, but ended up totally won over by the coffee too.

Where is Orange Bagel, and is there parking?

Orange Bagel is located in Gosaek-dong, Suwon. Parking is always a bit of a concern when heading to a large café in Suwon, but this place has its own private lot, which made things easy.

The parking area itself is pretty spacious too, so it's great for coming with family by car. I remember thinking the place was huge back when I first visited, and coming back years later, it's still just as big haha. Especially when you're bringing your parents to a café, you tend to look for somewhere with easy parking rather than circling the block or hunting for a spot! In that sense, I thought this was a great Suwon café for a family drive.

Three floors at Orange Bagel, each with its own mood

Orange Bagel is spread across three floors, and each one has a slightly different atmosphere. The first floor has the bagel counter along with seating, and the vibe there was better than I expected too.

You can grab a seat right after picking your bagel, and the space itself is wide enough that it never feels cramped.

But personally, the second floor was the real winner!! There are a lot of seats where natural light pours in beautifully, so I imagine it's absolutely gorgeous on a nice day.

There's a mix of seating good for groups and cozy spots perfect for sitting alone, so it also seemed like a solid option for working from a café.

Since the space is so large, there are plenty of seating options whether you come with your parents or a bigger group.

There's also a terrace on the third floor, which would be lovely to use when the weather's cool. Heading up there around sunset seems perfect for sipping coffee while watching the sky change color haha.

There are plenty of photogenic spots scattered around too, so it felt less like a café where you just grab a bagel and go, and more like somewhere to spend a relaxed stretch of time.

What bagels and coffee can you order at Orange Bagel?

True to its name, Orange Bagel really does have a huge variety of bagels.

From basics like plain and cranberry to olive tomato, deep choco, potato, rice crackseo, everything, Laugen butter, and corn — I kept picking up one after another while browsing haha.

It wasn't just the bagels — the coffee menu was pretty interesting too. Having a signature drink built around orange was a nice, unexpected touch. I came expecting only bread since it's a bagel specialty shop, but the coffee has its own clear signature too, so this could also be a good pick for anyone hunting for good coffee in Suwon.

Choosing 4 bagels also gets you box packaging. There are so many bagels with gorgeous visuals that if your girlfriend or boyfriend likes bagels, picking up a few as a gift would definitely make their day haha.

How the Laugen bagel and scallion cream cheese bagel taste

The first thing that caught my eye was the Laugen bagel. I'm honestly not a huge bagel person, but Orange Bagel's Laugen bagel was genuinely delicious!!

I remembered enjoying the bagels on my last visit, so I picked this one with high hopes again, and it definitely delivered. There's plenty of butter packed inside, but it never felt greasy or over the top like I expected.

The salty flavor on the outside comes together with the nutty richness of the butter, and I just kept reaching for more. Even people who aren't really into bagels should try this one at least once haha!!

I also picked the scallion cream cheese bagel. This is a menu item I'd had before and remembered loving, so it was one of the reasons I came back for another round.

It's generously loaded with cream cheese and just as much scallion, so the visual alone is overwhelming. And that bite of scallion crunching every time you eat is such a great touch! You really don't need to go all the way to Seoul for a bagel like this — Suwon has its own showstopper, and it's clear why this place is famous haha.

The corn bagel was also a stunner just by looks!! It's piled high with corn on top, with a nutty-sweet flavor that seems like something parents would love too.

With so many bagel flavors on offer, it's a real plus that everyone can pick according to their own taste, even when coming with your parents.

Orange Bianco, the signature drink at Orange Bagel

What surprised me most that day, even more than the bagels, was the Orange Bianco. I couldn't quite picture the flavor since it's an orange-and-coffee combination.

But the moment I took a sip, I thought this is seriously amazing. There's handmade orange syrup at the bottom, with milk and espresso topped with soft cream, and drinking it through the straw brings the whole combo together beautifully.

Every so often you get a bite of orange pulp adding a burst of freshness, and the cream and coffee smooth it right back out. I worried the orange scent might clash with the coffee, but instead it added a bright freshness that kept it from ever getting tiring, sip after sip. Honestly, it might be the single best coffee I've had all year in terms of matching my taste!! I want to come back just for the coffee... 👏🏻🧡

Final verdict: the best bagel and drink combo at Orange Bagel

Coming back after a few years, I finally understood why Orange Bagel, this large Suwon café, keeps pulling in crowds. The spacious private parking lot makes it easy to drive over, and with three floors of seating, it's a great spot to visit with parents or family.

It also seems great for solo café-working or spending time on the terrace, so it's worth a stop if you're looking for things to do in Gyeonggi-do. Most of all, the huge variety of bagels and the delicious signature coffee were what made me most satisfied.
