There were set menus with all kinds of fish, and the value was so good?! Prices in Jeju are expensive these days, so this place is seriously amazing value..😍

Inside, a neat wood-toned interior welcomed us~ They even had high chairs ready, haha.

And freshly grilled cutlassfish, mackerel, croaker, and flounder were kept warm and ready to go~! It really had the feel of a fish-grill specialist!

The restaurant was on the cozy side, and the lush green view through the window was lovely, haha. They also had the air-conditioning blasting, so it was wonderfully cool~!!

There was a self-service bar, so we could freely refill the banchan (Korean side dishes) too!

We ordered the Mom’s Set Meal with grilled cutlassfish and pork

We ordered the Mom’s Set Meal with grilled cutlassfish, spicy stir-fried pork, and soft tofu stew, plus an à la carte grilled cutlassfish!!

Spicy soft tofu stew and earthenware-pot pork stir-fry

First, the spicy soft tofu stew! Some kind of stew is essential with grilled fish~ It was thoughtful that there were three choices, and we picked the soft tofu stew :)

It had lots of ingredients and was nicely salty and spicy, so it paired really well with the mild fish~!

Next was the spicy stir-fried pork included in the set! I was impressed that it came in an earthenware pot, and I loved its sweet-and-salty charm~!

I kept thinking how complete this set was!! It is great because even if you come with someone who does not like fish, everyone can enjoy something delicious ><

Direct-fire grilled cutlassfish and seasoned braised cutlassfish

Next, the grilled cutlassfish!! It had been so long since I last had cutlassfish, so my expectations were sky-high ><

After carefully picking out the flesh, the bones came away easily, and it was wonderfully mild and nutty without any fishiness!! You really have to eat cutlassfish when you come to Jeju. Especially here, the fish is grilled directly over the flame, making the outside crisp while the flesh stays so moist—such a treat😻

Next was braised cutlassfish!! Braised cutlassfish soaked right through in delicious sauce is another must-have when you come to Jeju!

Even though it was not boneless, the bones and meat separated so easily, and soaked in that sauce, it was a total rice thief! The braised-cutlassfish sauce was so tasty that it was delicious mixed right into the rice too, haha.

Naneun Jigeum Saengseoni Meokgo Sipda Yongdam Airport Branch was a great restaurant near Jeju Airport that I visited on this Jeju trip! It is easy to get to because it is close to the airport, and above all, its grilled and braised fish are unbeatable value! If you want a warm, generous Korean meal, I highly recommend making this your first or final stop on your Jeju trip :)
