Lemon vanilla soda shot and group seating at Meolmeol Pangyo café

In short

Meolmeol Pangyo is a brunch café on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, styled with Nordic-inspired interiors. After a reservation, the writer had an iced americano, a lemon vanilla soda shot, raspberry endive salad, and the lasagna limited to 40 tables a day, and appreciated small touches like lemon water and wet tissues. The food was as good as the Instagram-worthy look, making it worth a return visit.

Today I want to write about my visit to 'Meolmeol,' a brunch café located in Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo!

Parking was available at the Baekhyeon café street public parking lot, just a 3-minute walk away! Even though I visited on a weekend, the lot had plenty of spots. And even if you go over the time, the parking fee is super cheap, so no worries there~~!

Nordic-inspired interior

The moment I walked in, it really felt like I'd stepped into Northern Europe (never actually been there lol) — the interior had that whole vibe! The lemons and oranges on display gave off a real pride in fresh ingredients. By the way, most of the photos in today's post were taken with a Canon IXY 810!

Seat at Meolmeol Pangyo assigned after reservation

This is the seat we were shown to after our reservation! Every single seat was decorated with its own character, so pretty. The chairs and tables were all different pieces depending on where you sat, so it was fun just looking around!

Different tables and chairs at each seat

It really felt like a lot of care went into every corner — the tables, the chairs, all the little interior details!

Café interior corner with plants

There were plants placed here and there too, so the whole space felt bright and fresh overall! This is exactly the kind of vibe I love...🤍🤍

Group seating at Meolmeol Pangyo suitable for gatherings

Group seating and floor-to-ceiling windows

There were also tables for larger groups, so I thought it'd be great for gatherings~ There were all kinds of guests — tables of 4-5 people, couples, and more!

High-ceilinged seating by floor-to-ceiling windows

The ceilings were high and the windows floor-to-ceiling, so sunlight poured in — I thought it'd be perfect for an afternoon visit!

Lemon water and wet tissues set on the table

Even the water was thoughtfully served as lemon water. You know that feeling when a little detail like that at a café just puts you in a good mood...?! Hand sanitizer and wet tissues were also generously provided, so we didn't even need to ask staff for them — very convenient!

Basket holding lemons as a prop

Even the basket holding the lemons was pretty here.. it felt like every single little prop was carefully chosen to create a European atmosphere.

What does the lemon vanilla soda shot taste like?

The long-awaited menu photos! We ordered an iced americano and a lemon vanilla soda shot — the vanilla flavor in the soda shot wasn't that strong, I think. It really just tasted like soda lemon shot? It's a pretty adventurous flavor, so I'd recommend it to people who want to try something new lol. Recommended for anyone who wants coffee but also wants that refreshing kick!

Raspberry endive salad

Next up was the raspberry endive salad! It had raspberry Greek yogurt on the bottom, topped with jamón, perfectly ripe peaches, and endive greens.

I loaded up a bite with a bit of everything — Greek yogurt, endive, peach, jamón — and ate it all at once!! It was a flavor combo I'd never tried before, and both the Greek yogurt and the peach were so good, it was a dream combination ✨✨

Lasagna, limited to 40 tables a day

The next dish was lasagna~! This is the kind of dish that's honestly never really bad, is it! It was a menu limited to 40 tables. They say it's simmered for over 2 hours, which is probably why there's a limit! The lasagna noodles were nicely done, and they thoughtfully served bread on the side too, so I scraped up every bit of the sauce with it haha.

Would I come back?

With so many different kinds of seating and a gorgeous terrace as well, I definitely want to come back! It's not just an Instagram-pretty café — the food is genuinely delicious too, so I think I'll find myself craving it again from time to time.
