Selected Nicks isn't just a place to grab coffee — it seems like a lot of people come here to work or study too. Once I saw the interior, I understood exactly why so many laptop workers and students choose this place.

There's an outlet at nearly every seat, so you can work with peace of mind without worrying about your laptop battery. Seating layouts vary from floor to floor, so there were plenty of people focused on solo work as well as people chatting together.

The matcha financier at Selected Nicks had a crisp outside and a chewy inside. You could really taste that signature baked-goods texture, and it was delicious. The bittersweetness of the matcha paired really well with the buttery aroma. It wasn't heavy at all, so if you like matcha, pairing this with coffee is basically a guaranteed win.

The cold brew latte had that distinctive cleanness hit right away in the mouth. It was much less heavy than a regular espresso latte, with a smooth finish that's great for sipping little by little while working. The cold brew's fragrant flavor mixed with the milk to double the nuttiness — perfect for anyone looking for a clean, not-too-sweet latte!

The mango juice wasn't a cheap syrupy version — it was sweet with that bright, fresh fruit flavor still alive. It was cool and sweet, exactly the kind of drink that gives you an instant sugar boost.

What the 8th-floor rooftop view is like

The Selected Nicks rooftop is right in the middle of Gangnam, and it was nice to be able to take in a rooftop view in the heart of the city like this. Looking out at the surrounding buildings from the open space felt relaxing and comfortable. Being a rooftop, there was no sense of being closed in. I think it'd also be great to come back in the evening for the night view.
