Hi everyone. Here's our lately 🤍 Our baby's nap transition has been rough lately… 🥲 seriously not sleeping haha. On days we don't go to culture center classes we usually take a walk in the morning before heading home haha, and today we came out to Jeonpo-dong for a stroll with the baby and got hungry, so we went for brunch 🥐☕️

Traveling with a baby, the first thing I check is always whether a place has a baby chair, and today's spot had one, so we got to eat comfortably with the baby .. 👶🏻 Let me introduce Odd Bird Oliver, the Jeonpo-dong brunch spot where we had a great meal with the baby today 〰️

Odd bird — "a strange person, an unusual person, an eccentric." Bread and cheese made in-house daily, sauces simmered for hours, clean flavors from fresh ingredients. They say it's a place that pours unusual care into unusual dishes. Maybe that's why the moment you step inside, this delicious smell hits you 〰️ It's even a welcome-kids zone and pet-friendly zone, so it seems like a great place to stop for brunch with your dog while strolling around Jeonpo-dong 🐶👶🏻🥐☕️

What we ordered: Bismarck sandwich and jamón mushroom risotto

The menu itself was so cute and detailed, totally my style 📖 We ordered the Bismarck sandwich, hamon mushroom risotto, and an iced Americano! 🥪🍄☕️

Ahh, it looks so good just from the visual alone 🤤 mushroom risotto piled high with jamón and arugula 🍄🍃, and a sandwich packed with poached egg, basil, house-made jambon and ricotta cheese 🥪✨

How the jamón mushroom risotto tastes

Look how thick and chunky the mushrooms are ㅠㅠ 🍄 the chewy texture is genuinely on point… mushroom lovers, you have to order this one .. 🫶🏻 made with waxy barley, so there's an extra crunchy bite on top of everything, which made every mouthful so satisfying 😋

How the Bismarck sandwich tastes

A focaccia sandwich loaded with ricotta cheese and jambon 🥪 the poached egg adds a truffle aroma on top ㅠㅠㅠ tastes great and smells so mouthwatering 🤤 it also went perfectly with coffee ☕️. On top of that, they make all the bread in-house. You can really tell they're serious about the food .. 👏🏻 my husband and I had walked all morning and were starving 🍽️🍽️ so the two of us polished it off in no time haha.

And here's the amazing part .. I was going to feed the baby puree but realized I forgot to bring a cup 🥲 but what do you know… they had baby tableware ready here! 👶🏻 that kind of thoughtful attention to detail is such a nice touch 👏🏻 thanks to that, our baby got to eat her puree comfortably and get her vitamins in too 🍎🍓😋

I was so hungry I just dove into whatever was in front of me haha, and only after finishing did I notice the pretty spaces around us… 👀 you could really feel the care put into the interior everywhere, it was so lovely haha

Before leaving after the meal, restroom check ✔️🚻 the restroom is outside the restaurant! It's unisex, but kept clean, so that was nice haha 🅿️ There's no dedicated parking, so you'll need to use the public lot near Jeonpo Station or a nearby paid lot! Something to keep in mind if you're driving haha🚗

Is Odd Bird Oliver worth it with a baby?

Overall, the food was delicious and the space was clean, making Odd Bird Oliver a great spot for brunch with a baby. Especially with a baby chair on hand, eating with the baby was more comfortable than I expected 👶🏻 If you're looking for a good-vibe brunch spot in Jeonpo-dong, or want to enjoy a relaxed brunch with a baby, it's worth stopping by haha.

We were out walking and got hungry looking for a brunch place, and it turned out this place opens at 9am haha, so we were glad to find somewhere open that early and went in haha. It turned out more satisfying than expected, and we left feeling good after a nice meal 〰️🥐☕️
