Daepae Maket Busan Daeyeon Branch: parking and opening hours

Daepae Maket Busan Daeyeon Branch is a budget-friendly grilled meat restaurant near Daeyeon Station, at 222 Suyeong-ro, 1st floor, Nam-gu, Busan. I found this place while looking for a cheap-but-good barbecue spot near Daeyeon Station. Parking is supported for 1 hour, and you can park at Shin Parking, Gagahoho Parking, Modeun Parking, Gallery Medi Tower, or Ashley Parking. I really liked how well-organized the parking support was. There's also a kids' playroom, so it seems great for family gatherings too.

Even though it was just past 5pm on a weekday, there were already customers eating and more kept coming in. You could really feel the popularity here. Places with great value for money never seem to run out of foot traffic.

There are plenty of seats and the space is spacious, so it looks great for group dining too.

What does the 2,000 won self bar include?

The self bar at Daepae Maket Busan Daeyeon Branch is unlimited for ₩2,000 per person. You can take as much lettuce wrap veggies, noodle sides (sari), and sauces as you want.

Self bar with lettuce wraps and sauces
The self bar is unlimited — you take as much as you like, and it's fully stocked with all kinds of lettuce wraps and matching sauces. The vegetables were all fresh, which I liked. I scooped up as much green onion shreds and pickled onion as I wanted and added sauce.
Self bar noodle corner with rice cake, potato noodles, sundae
Rice cake noodles, potato noodles, sausage, bracken fern, corn, radish pickle, sundae (blood sausage), garlic scapes and more — all unlimited too, unbelievable.
Sauce corner with green onion kimchi, myeongi namul, ssamjang
Green onion kimchi, bean sprouts, kimchi, garlic, perilla leaves, jeotgal (salted seafood), myeongi namul (mountain garlic leaves), chili, ssamjang — lots of sauces prepared too. You know how good it is to grill kimchi, bean sprouts, and green onion kimchi with the thin-cut pork and wrap it with myeongi namul, right? The owner really knows flavor..

The menu, from Jeju pork to thin-cut duck

Menu board listing Jeju pork set menus
Jeju pork comes as set menus, so you can order without much thought. There's Jeju raw pork belly, Jeju thin-cut pork belly, Jeju pork neck, and Jeju gochujang pork belly. We didn't order it, but I saw another table order the seasoned meat, and they prepped and tossed it in sauce right after ordering. It really gave me confidence that the meat is super fresh.

Besides pork belly, there are also beef options like Korean beef brisket (chadolbaegi) and shaved beef short ribs.

They also have thin-cut shaved duck meat

I'd never seen shaved makchang (grilled pork intestines) before, so that was interesting. There are review events and challenges too, so it seems easy to enjoy the place in whatever way suits you.

There's a wide range of meal options too — jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles), bibim naengmyeon and mul naengmyeon (cold noodles), udon, jjamppong-flavored ramyeon, Anseong tangmyeon — so there's plenty of choice depending on your mood.

There's also fried rice, soy sauce fried rice, spicy sauce rice, plain rice, and a kids' menu. Frying rice on the grill after the meat is basically a Korean dessert haha.

The drinks and alcohol menu had a good variety too.

Shredded green onion, free fish cake soup and naengmyeon

The self bar is ₩2,000 per person and you can bring whatever you like. We tried a bit of everything first, planning to go back for more later. That green onion shred (pachae) is genuinely delicious!!

A plate of green onion shreds and lettuce wraps from the self bar

Look at these gorgeous slices of meat… since it's thin-cut (daepae), it cooks fast, which is great haha. Pepper and salt are on every table, so you can season it as much as you like while grilling.

This is the free eomuktang (fish cake soup) they give you — the broth was delicious, and even though we let it simmer a long time, the fish cakes must be good quality because they didn't get soggy and stayed tasty. The quality for the price really seems excellent.

We also ordered naengmyeon — wrapping cold noodles with warm grilled meat in one bite is genuinely delicious.

Green onion kimchi grilled on the pan: don't skip it

What's a barbecue restaurant without grilled kimchi on the pan haha. It cuts through the richness, and grilled until slightly charred, it's honestly amazing. We also grilled bracken fern, mushrooms, onion, and garlic, and they all paired really well with the meat! Oh, and especially try grilling the green onion kimchi! It's incredible…

Large plate piled with lettuce wraps and side dishes
Having a big plate meant we didn't have to keep going back and forth — we could bring it all in one trip.
Sign announcing free ice cream on exit
They say ice cream is free on your way out!! Even if you're stuffed, you can't resist barbecue dessert ice cream haha.
A wrap of pork neck with green onion shreds on top
You wrap pork neck fully in green onion shreds, right? Wow… enough said. The sauce was really tasty.
A wrap of pork belly topped with bean sprouts
Bean sprouts and pork belly really go well together too.
An empty grill and plates after the meal
It was so good haha, we cleared every last piece of kimchi. We added extras and got so full we couldn't fit in fried rice — I'm still regretting not frying at least a bit of it now.
Table after finishing the meal

Free dessert coffee and self-serve ice cream on the way out

On the way out, there's dessert coffee, cones, and a self-serve ice cream machine waiting for you. Nice touch, taking care of dessert too.

Dessert coffee and self-serve ice cream machine

For the machine, you pull the lever down to dispense as much ice cream as you want, then pull the lever all the way and release it to stop.

Self-serve soft ice cream in a cup
Since it was hot outside, I got mine in a cup instead of a cone so it wouldn't drip all over my hands. Cold, vanilla-milk-flavored ice cream, clean and delicious. If you're looking for a great value barbecue restaurant in Daeyeon-dong, I definitely recommend this place.
