5 servings of thin-cut pork belly in Daeyeon-dong, Busan: Daepae Maket
In short
Daepae Maket Busan Daeyeon Branch is a thin-cut pork belly (daepae samgyeopsal) restaurant in Daeyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, a 2-minute walk from Daeyeon Station Exit 5. The writer ordered 5 servings of albam daepae samgyeopsal (chestnut-fed thin-sliced pork belly) and icy mul naengmyeon (cold noodle soup), then filled the grill with vegetables, sundae (Korean blood sausage), pink sausage and kimchi from the self bar before finishing with fried rice. A 2,000 won per-person table charge applies, but the self bar at Daepae Maket is generous enough to make it a filling, good-value meal.

Today too, a warm condensed milk latte~
I went looking for a Daeyeon-dong pork belly spot where I could eat thin-sliced pork belly on a budget, and found a great one.

The restaurant's name is "Daepae Maket." The nutty, savory thin-sliced pork belly was really good, and the self bar was well stocked too, so I ate my fill. Let me introduce this Daeyeon-dong pork belly restaurant :)
Where is Daepae Maket Busan Daeyeon Branch, and what are its hours?
It's located at 222 Suyeong-ro, 1F, Nam-gu, Busan. It's about a 2-minute walk from Daeyeon Station Exit 5.
Hours are weekdays 16:00–01:00, and weekends 11:30–01:00.
What Daepae Maket looks like from the street

From outside, the restaurant looked quite large, and the vibe seemed clean and well kept.

By the entrance there was a gacha (capsule toy) machine set up as a kids' zone, so I checked out what was inside.
Inside Daepae Maket: seating and the self bar

Inside, the space was wide and had a clean atmosphere.
Tables filled a large open hall area, and next to it there were also partitioned tables, so besides the open hall there was a more private space to eat too.
The self bar was also set up big, packed with side dishes to eat alongside the pork.
Daepae Maket menu prices and the 2,000 won table charge

The menu consisted of a variety of daepae (thin-sliced meat) dishes — albam daepae samgyeopsal, daepae mokssal (thin-sliced pork neck), hanwoo chadolbaegi (Korean beef brisket), wu samgyeopsal (beef belly), ppol hangjeongsal (pork jowl), gochujang daepae, oduri daepae (thin-sliced duck), and more.

There were also various stew sides like doenjang-jjigae, pork kimchi-jjigae, and tuna kimchi-jjigae. We ordered 5 servings of albam daepae samgyeopsal plus icy mul naengmyeon (a review event item). Note that a table charge of ₩2,000 per person is added here.

When you order, odeng-tang (fish cake soup) is set up as a default first, and you can order extra odeng.

Ordering 5 servings of albam daepae samgyeopsal and filling a self bar plate
And right away, 5 servings of daepae samgyeopsal arrived! They sliced the pork belly fresh the moment we ordered, and the meat really looked great.

With the meat out, we headed straight to the self bar and loaded up plenty of vegetables

and grabbed just the sauces we needed,
and we also got a good portion of kimchi, green onion kimchi, bean sprouts, garlic, ssamjang (dipping paste), and salted seafood.
There was also corn kernels, garlic scapes, pickled radish, ham, sundae (blood sausage), bracken fern, potato, mushrooms and more, so we could eat plenty alongside the meat.
We started small, but as we kept adding more, the grill ended up completely full.

Grilling sundae and pink sausage on the pan
We put the mushrooms, sausage, sundae, bean sprouts, and kimchi we'd brought over straight onto the grill and started cooking,

and this pink sausage and sundae were surprisingly tasty, so I kept eating them.

Once the odeng-tang had boiled for a while, we fished out some odeng to try, and it was delicious, so it was a nice way to start.

The daepae grilled up nicely too, ready to eat, and one bite in, the nutty pork belly was soft and really appealing.
The nutty daepae samgyeopsal with grilled kimchi is an absolute win.
We wrapped it up nicely in ssam (lettuce wrap) too and popped it in one bite,

and kept enjoying the various side dishes together with the pork belly right to the end.

Finishing with fried rice and icy mul naengmyeon
You can't skip fried rice at the end! We brought over various fried rice ingredients and fried up two bowls of rice nicely,

and it was so delicious — the vegetables fried well in the savory pork belly fat all came together beautifully.

And to finish, mul naengmyeon! The noodles were completely refreshing and cold, with dadegi (spicy chili paste) mixed in, and it was delicious.

Free ice cream and coffee for guests on the way out
On the way out after finishing the meal, there was ice cream and coffee set up at the entrance just for departing guests, free to grab on the way out.

Getting ice cream and coffee like this made for a perfect finish!
I left this Daeyeon-dong pork belly restaurant happily full after enjoying the daepae samgyeopsal. The samgyeopsal was great, but the generous self bar meant I got to eat the meat and leave in a great mood. A full self bar, nutty daepae samgyeopsal, and mul naengmyeon to top it off — it was another happy meal today :)
