Inside Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch

The interior of Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch was more spacious and clean than I expected. The tables were also fairly well-spaced so we could eat comfortably without worrying about the next table haha.
Overall it had a retro Korean BBQ restaurant vibe. The restrooms were separated by gender and clean too!
What's on the menu at Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch

- Meat menu - Jeju native black pork nanchuk matdon, nanchuk matdon bone rib-eye, black gabrisal, black hangjeongsal, Jeju pork fresh ribs, seasoned ribs, fresh pork belly, fresh pork neck
- Side dishes - Korean beef yukhoe (raw beef), coriander salad, cheese bomb egg soufflé, wrap vegetables, add-on seasoned crab/mel-jorim/grilled vegetables available
- Meal menu - conch seafood hot pot, soft tofu stew, kimchi fried rice, yeolmu noodles, bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles), Pork Rice, steamed rice
There was quite a variety of alcohol too, so it seemed like a good spot for drinks with meat! We ordered the nanchuk matdon platter (600g), yeolmu noodles, and cheese bomb egg soufflé haha.
Side dishes and mel-jorim, a Jeju anchovy braise

After ordering, the basic side dishes came out first — seasoned crab, corn salad, pickles, geotjeori (fresh kimchi), scallion salad, all seasoned just right and delicious overall. The meat sauces were fresh wasabi, matcha salt, ssamjang, and mel-jorim, and there was something I'd never seen before.
It was mel-jorim! 𖤐ˊ˗ What is mel-jorim? A Jeju-style braised anchovy dish made with mel (the Jeju dialect word for anchovy). At first I thought they'd brought us a stew when something showed up in a stone bowl, but it was mel-jorim haha. Eaten with the meat, it was salty and savory in a way that worked better than I expected.
The 600g Nanchuk Matdon platter and table-side grilling
⭐️ Finally, the main meat arrives!! ⭐️ The thickness of the meat was insane,,, 🐷🤎 It looked so thick that it seemed guaranteed to be juicy just from the visual ✨
The nanchuk matdon platter comes out with mushrooms and scallions, and the first batch is grilled for you by staff ෆ⸒⸒ Nanchuk matdon is a breed created by crossing Jeju's native black pig with the Landrace breed, known for its deep, rich flavor, juicy texture, and nutty taste!!

The charcoal heat was really intense too, so the meat cooked faster than I expected!! 🔥
For the first batch, the staff grilled it to perfection and set the fully cooked pieces aside on the grill, which made it so easy to eat haha (after that, you grill it yourself!)
The meat was thick and browned beautifully, glistening and looking moist — it looked delicious just from appearance,, 。.:*☆

On the side, there was even a guide on how to best enjoy nanchuk matdon! ✨

First bite with matcha salt
For the first bite, I dipped it in matcha salt, and wow, it was seriously so good,, 🫧 The lean part was tender and the skin was thick and chewy, making the texture truly a work of art,,, ⋆.˚⊹⁺
The outside was well-browned with a nutty flavor still alive, and the inside was full of juices, so the deep black pork flavor came through the more I chewed,, it was clean yet nutty, completely moved from the first bite,, ✨🩵 If you want to taste the meat's true flavor, the first bite has to be matcha salt!!

Ssamjang with scallion salad, fresh wasabi with pickled perilla leaves
Next, I piled on ssamjang and scallion salad for a bite together!! This combo was also amazing ㅠㅠ 👍🏻 The meat's juices stayed moist while the tangy scallion salad cut through the richness and boosted the savory flavor even more ♡ᵎᵎᵎ

Fresh wasabi + perilla leaf pickles was also delicious,, and mel-jorim, grilled scallions, and mushrooms all paired really well too ㅜㅜ
There were so many side dishes and sauces to pair with the meat that it was fun mixing and matching according to taste haha.
Cheese bomb steamed egg and yeolmu noodles
Next up was the cheese bomb egg soufflé 💛 The fluffy, soft steamed egg had salty cheddar cheese mixed in, making it savory and salty in an amazing way,, it melted the moment it hit my mouth ㅠㅠ Eating a piece of meat then a spoonful of egg soufflé was such a perfect combo!! ⋆⭒˚。⋆

Lastly, yeolmu noodles 🧡 A tangy-sweet broth with crunchy yeolmu (young radish greens), giving it a refreshing, clean taste! Eating a bit of meat then a bite of yeolmu noodles instantly refreshed the palate and cut through the meat's richness lol. So tangy-sweet and delicious haha ꪝoꪝ✧‧˚
Is Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch worth it?
With good accessibility at 10-15 minutes by car from Jeju Airport, this is a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for a black pork restaurant near Jeju Airport! 🐷🌴 The thick Jeju black pork nanchuk matdon, yeolmu noodles, and egg soufflé were all so delicious that I was completely satisfied, and it made for a great start to the first day of my Jeju trip!! 🩵
The meat itself was so tasty, and it was even better being able to pair it with matcha salt, fresh wasabi, mel-jorim, and more ୧ ·₊˚ If you're looking for a Jeju black pork restaurant, I recommend visiting Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch!!! ゚𖤐.⋆
