Jeju black pork BBQ restaurant with a bibim guksu finish: Pork80
In short
Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is a black pork BBQ restaurant on Noyeon-ro, a main road in Jeju City. On the last evening of a family trip we ordered 600g of raw black pork ribs, which the staff grilled at the table, and ate them with meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), salt and ssamjang before finishing with bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles). Even at dinner time there was no wait for a table, and for the portion and the flavour Pork80 felt easy on the wallet — a place worth returning to on the next Jeju trip.

Why we picked Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch for black pork near the airport
On the last evening of our Jeju trip, we searched for a black pork restaurant nearby and headed to Pork80. Coming to Jeju, eating black pork at least once is basically mandatory, and my family looked pretty excited too.
It's right on a main road, so it wasn't hard to find. We went braced for a wait since it was dinner time, but thankfully we were seated right away with no waiting. Time is precious while traveling, so this alone made us pretty happy.

Inside Pork80: atmosphere and space between tables
The moment we walked in, I was surprised at how much bigger the place was than I expected. The tables had plenty of space between them, so we could sit comfortably without worrying about neighboring tables — perfect for chatting as a family while we ate. Side dishes started arriving one by one as soon as we sat down.

Ordering the 600g raw black pork ribs from the Pork80 menu
Here's Pork80's menu. Jeju means black pork, after all. While we were debating what to order, the raw ribs caught our eye. So without much hesitation we went straight for the raw ribs 600g.

Before diving into the meat, I dutifully read through the guide on how to enjoy Pork80's pork properly.

What side dishes come with the black pork
The side dish lineup was pretty varied — pickled onion, pickled peppers, seasoned chives, and mustard sauce. Everything was arranged with such pretty colors it made for good photos, and my appetite was already building before the meat even arrived.

Thick raw ribs grilled at the table by Pork80 staff
Not long after ordering, the meat arrived, and the moment it hit the plate, the thickness alone had everyone's eyes lighting up.

A staff member grilled it right beside us, so all we had to do was sit back and chat. Not having to lift a finger while traveling turned out to be a bigger plus than I expected.

The sizzling sound and smell rising off the grill were enough to lift the mood just from watching. It came out crisp and golden on the outside, packed with juice on the inside — you could literally see the juices run when they cut it with scissors.

They pushed the fully-cooked pieces to one side so they wouldn't burn, which made eating really easy. I wanted to taste the meat's own flavor first, so I ate a piece plain with no sauce. That juiciness and tenderness filling my whole mouth... ah, unforgettable.

Salt, ssamjang, meljeot or a lettuce wrap: which pairing wins?
What was really great was that so many sauces came out together. Dipped in salt, then in ssamjang, the meat was so tender and delicious either way.

I picked up a piece and dipped it lightly in Jeju's own meljeot, and that distinctive salty, deep umami really brought out the meat's natural flavor.

It was delicious even eaten plain, but personally, I was most satisfied wrapping the meat with a few side dishes in lettuce. Every bite burst with juice as I chewed — really good.

Finishing the meal with bibim guksu
Once we were fairly full on meat, we ordered a bibim guksu to finish. Tossing the noodles in the sweet and tangy sauce, then topping it with one last piece of meat, cut right through the richness and made for the perfect ending.

How much dinner at Pork80 cost, and the verdict
Given the portion and the flavor, the price felt totally reasonable. It didn't have that touristy feel — more of a genuine local vibe, which made it a great spot to sit down and eat unhurriedly like a regular day, even mid-trip.
I looked into quite a few black pork restaurants during our Jeju trip, and out of all of them, this one hit exactly the atmosphere and flavor I was hoping for. I think I'll be back next time I'm in Jeju. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
