Seongsan Ilchulbong Korean restaurant with A and D sets: Jejurowoon
In short
Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch is a Korean restaurant serving braised hairtail and seafood hot pots near Seongsan Ilchulbong in Seogwipo, Jeju, opening at 8am. On this second visit, two A sets (braised hairtail) and one D set (black pork dureuchigi stir-fry) arrived with grilled tilefish, two seafood hot pots, one sea urchin seaweed soup and soy-marinated crab, until the table ran out of room. Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon tasted even better than the first time, so a third visit is already reserved.

I made my second visit to Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch, a Jeju restaurant near Seongsan Ilchulbong famous for braised hairtail (galchi-jorim). Since they open early, I chose Cheonghaewon again — this place has basically every must-eat Jeju menu item gathered in one spot.

Parking and opening hours at Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch
You can park either behind or in front of the building. The sign really catches your eye — and being my second visit, it felt even more familiar.
Hours run from 8am to 9pm. This Jeju restaurant famous for galchi-jorim opens early, which has made it a well-known breakfast spot for travelers. It's hearty but light Korean food, satisfying without feeling heavy. It's popular before and after visiting Seongsan Ilchulbong, so mornings get busy — though lately, with the hotter weather, evenings are getting crowded too.

How to reserve a table on Naver
If you book through Naver, they'll have your table ready right on time.

Inside Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon: room for groups and families
Around 10am, one side of the restaurant briefly cleared out, so I snapped a photo. It's a spacious space that works well for groups, families, couples, or friends. I couldn't get a shot of the dining side, but there's also a private 4-seat table.

The menu at Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon: sets and single dishes
Jejurowoon's menu has both set meals and à la carte dishes. If you're visiting Jeju, I recommend going for a set to get the full, generous spread.

The basic side dishes and grilled tilefish
Every side dish is so neatly prepared it's hard to stop picking at them.

Grilled tilefish comes with the set.
Ah~ that's the taste!
Usually a second visit feels a little less impressive than the first, but this time it was even better. Look how crispy that grilled tilefish is — a dish you can practically eat with your eyes!!!

Choosing the soup: two seafood hot pots and one sea urchin seaweed soup
We chose two seafood hot pots (haemul-ttukbaegi) and one sea urchin seaweed soup.

Jejurowoon's mildly seasoned soy crab (ganjang-gejang), a crowd-pleaser for sure, can also be ordered for nationwide delivery.

The soy crab everyone who's tried it falls for — try it first as a side dish.
This visit's pick: two A sets of braised hairtail and one D set of black pork stir-fry
Two A sets (braised hairtail), one D set (black pork stir-fry).

Even the single-portion stir-fry is quite generous. Thick-cut black pork stir-fry — there's no way this isn't delicious.

The rice that comes with the set is glutinous hotpot rice (chapssol-sotbap).

We got such a full spread the table barely had room for it all.

It really is on a different level from home-cooked versions. A good-looking hairtail is a good-tasting hairtail!!!

The radish is simmered down so thoroughly it's flavorful all the way through.

The seafood hot pot and sea urchin seaweed soup were both generous in portion too.
A table of dishes that make you finish the rice
Crab is already a well-known 'rice thief' (a dish so good it makes you eat more rice), but at this place, everything on the table qualifies.

No kids fussing about not wanting to eat here — but plenty of adults ordering an extra bowl of rice.

Pile the grilled tilefish onto your rice and you'll be calling for another bowl in no time!!! The generous extra bowl disappeared fast too.

They even gave us a little gift for writing a review — such a generous place!
