If there’s one essential stop you absolutely can’t leave out at the beginning or end of a Jeju trip, it has to be beautifully browned grilled black pork. I visited Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch (포크80 제주공항점), a Jeju black pork spot near the airport that even foodie Choi Ja has approved of.

Let me tell you in advance: I recommend it!
Parking and space at Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch

Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is about 10 minutes by rental car from Jeju International Airport. It is close to major hotel areas including Grand Hyatt Jeju and Maison Glad Jeju, so it is a popular spot in both Nohyeong-dong and Yeon-dong for travelers and locals alike.
A huge advantage is the spacious dedicated parking, so you can enjoy a comfortable meal without parking stress in busy central Jeju City. After dining, collect a validated parking ticket from the counter for 3 hours of free parking!
The tables are generously spaced, so it looked great for family gatherings or a big group meal after a day of traveling.
There are useful tips written all around the restaurant, too. Don’t forget them—make sure you try them. They are seriously delicious.
Why I ordered Nanchuk Matdon pork belly
What gives this place such standout reviews among Jeju City’s many black pork restaurants is that it serves Nanchuk Matdon, a premium improved breed of native black pig developed by the National Institute of Animal Science’s Subtropical Livestock Research Institute. I was told it has three to four times more marbling than regular pork, giving it incredible juiciness and a tender texture.
Pork80 menu selection

Pork80 aims to be a top-tier meat restaurant and insists on only the best cuts. From the limited daily Nanchuk Matdon bone-in pork loin to the sides, the menu is packed with good options.
I visited after reading other blog posts, and so many people raved about the pork belly that I ordered it.
Banchan, matcha salt, and meljeot

The table is neatly filled with fresh banchan (Korean side dishes), their signature matcha salt, and meljeot, a salted anchovy sauce full of anchovy umami.
Grilling and eating two servings of pork belly, 600g
What I ordered was two servings of fresh, glistening pork belly—600g in all.

Can you see that vivid red color of the raw meat?ㅠ You could feel how fresh it was before it even hit the grill.
The moment the thick slices went onto the powerful binchotan charcoal grill, that savory aroma rose up.
Oh, and there was a high-performance hood system that whisked away the smoke quickly, so everything stayed clean without worrying about the smell clinging to you! The grill was seriously the best.

You turn the meat this way and that as it cooks. They give everyone their own tongs, so it was nice to grill it exactly how each person likes it.
The meat looks amazing, right?
How to enjoy Pork80’s meat

1. For the first bite, try the unusual green matcha salt.

I gave it a light dip, and the instant I bit down, rich juices burst out—ahh... incredible. The chewy skin and deep nutty richness together made me understand why this is a true Jeju black pork restaurant.
- 2. Try it with pickled chili peppers or fresh wasabi.
- 3. Try it with mel stew!! (Jaei Pie highly recommends it.)
Dip it deeply into the bubbling meljeot sauce and you can keep eating endlessly without it ever feeling greasy.
I usually think mel stew and meljeot smell fishy, so I don’t really like them, but not this one. It wasn’t fishy at all.

Pork Rice mixed with mel stew
Completely different from ordinary fried rice cooked on the grill, this Pork Rice is a hidden signature menu you can only try at Pork80. I do not regret ordering it one bit.
A big bowl arrives neatly filled with crisp fresh vegetables, fluffy rice, fragrant seaweed flakes, and sesame oil.
Then you ladle in plenty of their special mel stew, which is salty with deep umami, and mix it all together. It is a unique vegetable bibimbap (mixed rice bowl). There is no gochujang at all, but the hearty ocean flavor of the mel stew and its spicy-salty seasoning go amazingly well with the fresh crunch of the vegetables. Ah... I really recommend this. HIGHLY recommend!!

Young-radish noodles after sea walking

I had such a big appetite that day (it was the day I went sea walking), so I ordered young-radish noodles too.
They were loaded with nicely fermented young-radish kimchi, sweet and tangy.

As I drank the cool, pleasantly spicy dongchimi broth with little ice crystals floating in it, the charcoal heat and richness of the meat were washed away in an instant.

I would absolutely visit Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch again. At Pork80, a Jeju black pork restaurant and a representative dining spot near Jeju Airport, make sure you experience the true taste of Jeju!
