Jeju restaurant for rosé shrimp pasta and steak salad: Cultured

A stylish Italian restaurant during an Ara-dong itinerary

I was visiting Jeju and happened to have plans near Ara-dong, so when I started craving good Italian food, this was where I headed. I visited Cultured, a popular Ara-dong restaurant known for its delicious, stylish pasta and pizza dishes!

The spacious, comfortable room, hip interior, and even the “promise to customers” board listing ingredient origins on the wall made the place feel trustworthy the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was lovely too, making it just right for a date over Jeju pasta or pizza 🤍

As you step inside, the large wood-toned tables under soft lighting immediately catch your eye.

Each table was neatly set as standard, and the atmosphere felt comfortable whether you come for a group gathering, family meal, or date.

Chewy fresh-dough combination pizza

This is a combination pizza made in Cultured’s style, staying true to the basics ~

The chewy fresh dough was loaded with rich cheese, plus generous pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, and more. The texture in every bite was incredible.

It arrived freshly baked, and that long cheese pull was seriously the highlight 🍕 A must-order at Cultured in Ara-dong!!

Rich shrimp rosé pasta

The rich shrimp rosé pasta combines house-made tomato sauce simmered for six hours with fresh cream, and the flavor was definitely something special.

There were plenty of plump shrimp, and the sauce coated the noodles beautifully. I found myself scraping up every last bit of sauce from the plate. I officially recognize this as a place that makes truly great rosé sauce 👍

Steak salad loaded with meat

This steak salad comes generously topped with golden grilled vegetables and juicy beef steak.

It was the perfect match alongside the pasta and pizza. There was seriously so much meat, plus fresh, crisp vegetables! A satisfying way to get protein and healthy dietary fiber too ><

Things to know before visiting

• The house-made sauces are carefully simmered for five to six hours, and the fresh dough made every dish feel thoughtfully prepared.
• The spacious, atmospheric interior makes it a great spot for a date or gathering.
• The balance of pizza, pasta, and salad makes this an easy meal for almost any taste.

Cultured is a popular Ara-dong restaurant, so tables tend to fill up early at peak meal times. If you want a more relaxed meal, I recommend avoiding the busiest hours or arriving early! There are convenient parking spaces near the restaurant too, so visiting by car was no burden at all. Thanks to the staff’s friendly welcome and attentive service, I enjoyed the entire meal feeling wonderfully looked after.
