Jeonpo izakaya reservations in Busan for mackerel bong-sushi: 12.24
In short
12.24 Seomyeon Branch is an izakaya in Jeonpo-dong, Busanjin, Busan, a 6-minute walk from Exit 7 of Jeonpo Station. Because the mackerel bong-sushi (pressed mackerel sushi, ₩23,000) can be hard to get on the day, it was written into the reservation request in advance and eaten as the first customer of the early evening, along with a salmon sashimi and yukhoe (beef tartare) set for ₩39,000. If the mackerel bong-sushi is the goal, booking ahead at 12.24 Seomyeon Branch is effectively required.

Today I want to introduce an izakaya I visited while looking for a good-vibe bar around Jeonpo haha
Jeonpo has so many pretty bars that I had a hard time picking, but I wanted an izakaya with a varied menu, so I found this place! It's cute for a date course or for a first/second round with friends, so take a look ㅎㅎ

This place is a 6-minute walk from Exit 7 of Jeonpo Station! It's a great location whether you're moving over from having fun in Seomyeon or coming from the Jeonpo café street, not far from either ㅎㅎ

The sign is simple but it really catches your eye lol. I visited a bit early in the evening so I walked in as the first customer with no wait ㅎㅎ
Orange lighting and the dachi counter seats at 12.24

The interior has a nice vibe with slightly dim orange lighting — it looked like it'd be great at night! The 4-person tables were pretty spacious, and there were dachi (counter) seats facing the open kitchen too, which was nice. They occasionally do a fire show that's fun to watch,,ㅎㅎ
How to request mackerel bong-sushi when you book

There are various events too, so visitors should keep an eye out and grab the deals lol
What I wanted to eat that day was the mackerel bong-sushi (bong-choba, pressed sushi roll) — I'd failed to get it every time at other places before ㅠㅋㅋ, but here they said it was possible, so I came here! If you want to eat the mackerel bong-sushi, I really recommend reserving ahead, and I was told it's best to note in the reservation request that you're ordering mackerel bong-sushi!! They said same-day orders can be difficult ㅜ
So that's why I wrote it in the request field when I made my reservation before visiting!

So that day I ordered the salmon sashimi + yukhoe (raw beef tartare) set for ₩39,000, and the mackerel bong-sushi for ₩23,000! I wanted to try the nabe too but I was already full,,,
Mackerel bong-sushi at ₩23,000: what it tastes like

This is the mackerel bong-sushi — it came out plated beautifully in the classic bong (log) shape, so it was really photogenic ㅎㅎ Since I'd specifically reserved ahead just to eat this, I took photos of it right when it arrived lol. The pieces were big and each bite was really filling ㅎㅎ
Salmon sashimi and yukhoe set for ₩39,000

And the salmon-yukhoe set I ordered alongside it. It's a menu where you can enjoy salmon and yukhoe (raw beef tartare) at once, so it's perfect when you want both on one order. Having salmon and yukhoe together on a single plate also looked pretty the moment it landed on the table ㅎㅎ Especially if you like both salmon and yukhoe, being able to order two things at once is a plus :) The yukhoe portion was generous and the salmon slices were nice and thick too!
Is 12.24 Seomyeon Branch worth booking as a Jeonpo izakaya?
12.24 Seomyeon Branch is in the Jeonpo area, so it's a good spot to meet friends for a drink and also works well for a date.
