Olivus Compagno's little decorative touches are so cute, and I feel good every time I come in from that warm atmosphere. It's lovely whether you visit for lunch or dinner.

It's not overly heavy but comfortable and warm, so I end up coming back casually pretty often. Doesn't it seem like a great date spot?

Medium flat iron steak and non-alcoholic white wine at lunch

We ordered the lunch steak pasta set, which includes steak, pasta, and 2 drinks. Since it was lunchtime, I ordered non-alcoholic white wine, and it was a great choice! It was fresh and clean, so I'll probably order it again next time.

The flat iron steak, ordered medium. The outside was crispy with a nice crust while the inside stayed juicy and full of flavor — the reason I keep ordering it every time.

No gamey smell at all, just clean and light — a perfect order for a date.

The sauces that came with it paired really well. The garnish also had a slightly homemade feel — the potatoes especially were crispy and delicious.

Aglio olio at Olivus Compagno: simple is best

The simplest but tastiest aglio olio. Clean with tons of umami — really good. Strong garlic aroma but not too oily, so it felt light.

The seasoning was well soaked into every strand, so it never got boring and I couldn't stop forking it in — an addictive, steady flavor. It's the best aglio olio I've had in a while. (I want more already...)

Finished it off refreshingly with white wine! A clean, light lunch course where we thoroughly enjoyed steak, pasta, and wine all together.
