Today Huni-mini's mom finally got the semi-permanent eyebrows she'd been meaning to get for ages. I went back and forth on whether to do it, but since I'd been struggling with my eyebrows for a while anyway, I decided to just go for it and visited Robl Beauty. Here's my extremely satisfied review.

Where is Robl Beauty, and where do you park?

Robl Beauty is a total beauty salon located right next to Mokwon University in Doan-dong, Daejeon. It used to be in Pan-am-dong but recently moved to Doan. When I got there, I found it operating as a beauty shop inside a hair salon called Sheer Avenue.

If you're heading there, just search for 'Sheer Avenue' and you'll find it easily. It's on a side street, so you can park comfortably parallel along the alley.

Robl Beauty is a total beauty salon that does eyebrows as well as lips and lash lifts, and it's open from 10 to 8. It runs on a reservation system, so you can book through Naver or consult via Instagram before visiting.

The interior is a clean, bright white tone with a nicely spacious waiting area.

It's run together with the hair salon, and when I went there were a lot of hair salon customers around too! The space is divided so treatments can be done privately, which I thought was a nice touch. Hahahahahaha.

After waiting a bit, the director led me to a private space that turned out to be filled with adorable Hello Kitty decor.

There's a consultation area too, and it's a clean, well-maintained, comfortable space filled with mirrors and all the tools needed for the treatment.

The combo eyebrow process at Robl Beauty: consultation to finish in 20 minutes

First, let me show you a photo taken right before the treatment! My eyebrow tails are pretty sparse and the two sides are quite asymmetrical. So if I don't draw them in, I sometimes look like I'm unwell, and how finished my makeup looks really depends on my eyebrows that day.

I lay down in the comfortable space, had numbing cream applied, and had a consultation with the director. Since my first semi-permanent eyebrow experience wasn't very satisfying, I made sure to explain exactly what I wanted this time, and she really listened and tried to reflect my intent accurately. Based on her recommendation and my choice, I went with combo eyebrows!

For eyebrows that wouldn't fail, there were three things I wanted to request.

• First, keep it natural — thin, not too dark!
• Second, a semi-arch shape
• Third, make the front and tail lengths, which differ on each side, symmetrical

Actually, even before I asked, she immediately identified the eyebrow shape and length that suited my face and recommended something in line with current trends, so I barely had to explain my requests at all — she just went ahead and handled it. She drew the eyebrow line really well too. Hahaha. When I worried the drawn line looked too thick, she reassured me, saying it was just an outline to fill in within and that the final result would be thinner than that!

Lying there staring at the ceiling, her hands moved quickly and precisely, and the whole treatment was done in about 20 minutes!

How natural did the semi-arch combo brows look right after?

Ta-da! Hahahahahaha. Here's right after the treatment. Doesn't it look really natural? My messy eyebrows and ragged tails were softly and naturally filled in.

It looked so natural I couldn't believe it had just been done — I was genuinely shocked. Hahahahahahaha. The front was filled in naturally just how I wanted, and each hair stroke was drawn to look like my own eyebrows — that feeling of it really being mine. Why didn't I do this sooner? I regretted not doing it earlier. Hahahaha.

After the treatment, she carefully checked whether I liked it and if there was anything I wanted touched up, and gave me aftercare instructions along with a recovery cream.

I liked it so much I took a photo of my eyebrows on the way home. Haha, really natural, right? A sharper look, all thanks to eyebrows.

Day 2 and day 3: how the semi-permanent brows settled

This is exactly two days after the treatment! They feel even more natural, like they've settled right into my own eyebrows, right? Even that morning, just doing quick skin makeup and lip color felt like my makeup was already done — such an easy feeling! Hahahahaha.

This is day three today. Hahahahaha. I liked it so much and it was so easy that I even took a selfie for the first time in ages, haha. Huni-mini's dad, who'd seen my first failed attempt, said this really looks like my own eyebrows and complimented me, calling this one a total success.
