Haeundae dessert café, late-afternoon iced americano: Low & Sweet
In short
Low & Sweet Bakery is a vintage-style dessert café on Haeri-dan-gil in Haeundae, Busan. On a weekday late afternoon there was no wait at Low & Sweet Bakery, and the order to go was the best-selling egg tart (3,800 won), a pistachio madeleine (3,800 won) and an iced americano (5,500 won). The crisp tart shell with the bakery's own bright, house-roasted coffee makes this a five-star stop.

Today I'm introducing a spot worth stopping by for good food in Haeundae, Busan — Low & Sweet Bakery 🫶🏻

I'd been to the Low & Sweet Roastery café before, but this was my first time at the Haeundae dessert spot Low & Sweet Bakery. Just like the roastery café, the interior here is stylish with great vibes, so if you're looking for a Haeundae café with delicious desserts and coffee, I'd recommend giving it a visit.
Where is Low & Sweet Bakery and what are its hours?
Low & Sweet Bakery is a bakery café known for its egg tarts, tucked into the alleys of Haeri-dan-gil at 1 Udong1-ro 38beon-gagil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It's open daily 08:00–20:00, with last order at 19:30.

Haeri-dan-gil has so many aesthetic cafés and good eats tucked into its alleys that I always end up wandering back whenever I'm in Haeundae! While exploring the area, I finally stopped by Low & Sweet Bakery, a place that had caught my eye before.

After browsing some Haeri-dan-gil accessory shops, I dropped by the popular dessert café Low & Sweet for a quick takeout run of desserts and coffee.

Low & Sweet Bakery's exterior and vintage interior on Haeri-dan-gil
Low & Sweet Bakery has a white-toned exterior with vintage touches — a real Haeri-dan-gil café. From the sign to the awning-covered terrace, just walking past it felt like being in some alley overseas.
What caught my eye from the start was the clean white exterior paired with vintage details 🤍 The awning out front and the outdoor terrace gave off a little New York bakery café kind of feeling.
Inside, it's not overly decorated — more vintage and naturally cool, so if you're into that kind of understated aesthetic, I think Low & Sweet will really suit your taste.
The vibe I felt outside carried right through into the interior. It's like stumbling onto a neighborhood bakery café while traveling abroad. White tile, wood tones, vintage props, and warm lighting all came together for a cozy yet foreign feeling.
I happened to visit on a weekday late afternoon, so the café was fairly relaxed — nothing like weekend crowds, and just not having a long wait was satisfying enough haha
What I also liked about the atmosphere is that it's not some overly quiet, static café — travelers and locals mix naturally, each doing their own thing in a free and comfortable way. It felt especially fitting for Haeundae, an area that draws both locals and a lot of travelers.

What's in the pastry case, and what I ordered
Since Low & Sweet Bakery is a bakery café, the moment you step in, all the delicious-looking baked goods naturally catch your eye. Everything looked so good, and there were plenty of desserts that would pair well with coffee, so it took me a moment to decide what to get.

If you're a fan of baked pastries, just looking at the display case might make you want to grab one more, like it did for me! I'd originally only planned to buy the best-selling egg tart, but I got tempted by the pistachio madeleine..😍
So I picked up the most popular egg tart along with a madeleine as today's pick. The pastries are neatly arranged in the display case, so it's fun to browse and pick out whatever suits your taste — grab the tongs and go for it 😆
Every dessert at Low & Sweet Bakery is baked fresh every morning, so whatever you choose, you should be in for something tasty.
What I chose: Egg Tart (₩3,800), Pistachio Madeleine (₩3,800).

For a drink: Iced Americano (₩5,500). Two desserts plus a coffee — a simple combo good for a quick, easy treat.

How does the egg tart taste?
Low & Sweet Bakery's egg tart is ₩3,800 and apparently sells out fast — it's their best-selling item. This was actually the menu item I was most looking forward to before even arriving 💛 The visual alone — a crisp-looking tart shell packed with egg custard — had me curious about the taste even before I opened the box.

After actually trying it — yep, egg tarts are just my thing 👍🏻 I'd heard this place was known for them, and it really lived up to it. The tart shell stayed crisp, and the custard inside was soft with a rich, deep egg flavor — exactly my kind of taste!
The crisp shell and soft custard have such different textures, yet they came together naturally in each bite. That distinct sweet, savory egg tart flavor really came through, and it was even better paired with coffee. This is clearly a best-seller for good reason — Low & Sweet's egg tart! ✨
Pistachio madeleine at Low & Sweet Bakery
The pistachio madeleine I picked alongside it had that nutty pistachio flavor I was hoping for — the plain, subtly sweet base of a madeleine combined with the nutty pistachio taste made it more delightful than I expected 🤭
I've had plenty of regular madeleines before, so I went for this new pistachio combination this time, and I had zero regrets — it was that good. It's individually wrapped too, which makes it easy to carry, whether as a snack at home, at your accommodation while traveling, or even as a small gift for friends.

House-roasted iced americano
Low & Sweet Bakery's iced americano is ₩5,500, with a nicely balanced acidity and nuttiness that goes perfectly with the sweet bakery items. If, like me, packing dessert alone feels a bit lacking, ordering a coffee is a great call!

I usually go for nutty, heavy-bodied coffee, but that day I was craving something with more acidity. It tasted exactly like what I remembered from the Low & Sweet Roastery — coffee brewed with freshly house-roasted beans, and it was absolutely fantastic haha
One sip left a subtle acidity lingering, with a clean finish — so after a bite of something sweet, a sip of this feels like it refreshes your palate. Really nice.

It's tasty enough to enjoy on its own, but the pairing with dessert is fantastic too. You can enjoy the americano by itself, but with something sweet and rich like the egg tart, the coffee's acidity cuts cleanly through the dessert's sweetness!
Indoor seats, terrace and bringing a dog
Since closing time was approaching and I'd come mainly for takeout, I didn't get to linger inside the store this time.

Even just browsing around while my order was being packed made me want to come back next time and actually sit down to enjoy the menu at a relaxed pace.

It seems like a great spot to sit and chat with a friend, or to stop by with my husband on a Haeundae date for coffee and dessert.
There were actually couples there on an after-work date, and international travelers enjoying coffee and dessert too. Everyone just relaxing at their own pace with their coffee actually suited the café's free-flowing atmosphere really well.

Going out through the back door leads to several terrace seats, so on a nice day, it'd be great to sit outside and enjoy a coffee while soaking in the Haeri-dan-gil atmosphere.
It's also a pet-friendly café, so anyone visiting with their pet can comfortably use the terrace space. If you're out walking your pet in Haeundae, it'd be nice to sit and rest on the terrace for a bit. If you're looking for a pet-friendly café in Haeundae, save Low & Sweet Bakery for later and pay a visit!
How the takeout is packed, and is it good as a gift?
All desserts at Low & Sweet Bakery are available for takeout, and they wrap each item individually and carefully, which I appreciated. You can enjoy a dessert in-store and take the rest home too.
My desserts were packaged carefully without getting squished. If you're looking for a light gift of baked goods to enjoy with coffee rather than something heavy or too much, picking some up here while you're in Haeundae is a good idea.
How about a walk from Haeundae Beach over to Haeri-dan-gil, then a short break with coffee and dessert at this aesthetic café? Overall, the atmosphere, bakery, and coffee were all satisfying, so I'd give this place a full five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

On days when I don't have much time, like this one, takeout works great, or you can sit for a bit at the small table near the entrance.

If you're looking for a café in Haeundae or want to check out a foreign, vintage-feeling spot on Haeri-dan-gil, be sure to stop by Low & Sweet Bakery, a Haeundae favorite where you can enjoy delicious baked desserts together!
