Recharging with a friend after work at the Ansan City Hall eel spot
After work I was completely drained from a rough day, so I texted a friend suggesting we get some eel to build up our strength. Turned out my friend had been having a tough, physically demanding stretch at work too and was already craving something restorative.

After whining all day about how we absolutely needed to recharge today, we finally found the place: Songnim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat, Ansan City Hall branch!
The place that rescued us after a long workday
Honestly, eating out prices these days are terrifying. But I heard this place lets you eat without guilt even in a rough economy, so I went in with high hopes to do a full eating vlog session. Eel, pork belly, AND duck neck, all you can eat!

Is parking convenient?
We drove, and there was free parking in the building's basement lot, plus a public lot right in front, so accessibility was great. On top of that, word on the street was that the eel here is excellent, so we walked in with high expectations.

The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and cool, and the staff were friendly, which put me in a great mood. Nothing worse than being hot while you're trying to eat! The menu was varied and the side dishes were neat and tasty, making great wrap combinations — we ate happily right to the end.
Freshness prepped every morning
Since it's an affordable all-you-can-eat place, I honestly worried they might be using thawed frozen eel.

But the owner personally brings in only live eel from the eel farm and the direct market every single morning and prepares it by hand!

You could feel the tender, springy texture of the meat from the moment it hit the grill — I immediately understood why this place is known as the eel spot near Ansan City Hall. Doesn't the freshness come through even in photos?! I'd confidently recommend it, and if you love eel, this is a great-value way to enjoy the fresh stuff.
Eel, pork belly, and duck neck — variety and flavor in one
The moment we bit into the golden-grilled eel, my friend and I both gasped!

Not just freshwater eel — top-grade pork belly and chewy duck neck, all unlimited too. Today this place was heaven for us.

The dining room is spacious enough for group use or private bookings, so I want to spread the word to my coworkers as a Gojan-dong company dinner spot. The taste, the pleasant setting, and the friendly service all hit the mark! Oh, and we also had a glass of bokbunja — it paired so well with the eel that one bottle turned into two.
Good to know before you visit
There's a takeout discount too, so packing some to go would be worth it.

That day we mixed up different wrap combinations so we wouldn't get tired of the eel. Maybe because it was so fresh, it stayed light and never felt heavy — it just melted in the mouth. Amenities like baby chairs, Wi-Fi, and separate restrooms for men and women meant there was no real inconvenience. Just note politely: no pets allowed, and no outside alcohol or corkage.

I keep seeing more inconsiderate people in the news lately than I'd expect... anyway! If you want a proper energy boost, definitely come to this eel spot near Ansan City Hall. Booking ahead is even better for group gatherings or work dinners.

It's also a great pick as a Gojan-dong company dinner spot, so I'm planning to bring my coworkers here soon. We left full and happy, so I confidently recommend it as the eel spot near Ansan City Hall. Filed away as my number one pick for the next Gojan-dong work dinner!
