Yunseul prices and what the ₩24,000 set includes

Even the exterior looks stylish, right? The menu runs ₩24,000 per person. When you're meeting up with people you tend to look for a nicer space, which usually means it's pricier — but at Yunseul, there's no burden at all.

The set menu is a good way to go. The beef comes as neck (mokshim) and flat iron (bucharsal), and the broth choices are anchovy broth, doenjang (soybean paste) broth, and spicy broth.

These are solid anju (drinking snacks) to go with the shabu-shabu. Any group get-together needs drinks, and these pair well. It seems like a great spot for a meal with about four people near Seoul Station.

The inside of Yunseul is so upscale, right? The window side has floor-to-ceiling glass, which makes it feel open and nice. If you can, ask for a window seat when you reserve.

I chose the spicy broth. It's not super spicy, just pleasantly hot. I'd recommend the spicy broth — anyone who loves a good soup will enjoy it.

Sauces and side dishes at Yunseul

There are three types of sauce, like this. I liked all three.

The kimchi was really tasty, and the cabbage pickles were so good I finished them and went back for more. Great banchan (side dishes) to pair with the meal.

Start with the meat and vegetables. As fall approaches, you start craving warm soup, and once the cold wind picks up, shabu-shabu really suits the season as a meal. It's great for a lunch get-together, and just as good for an evening with drinks. Honestly, if you pick this place, you won't regret it. I really want to recommend it.

Minari gondol-i jeon: the side we added

This is minari gondol-i jeon (minari and roe pancake). It's packed with minari and packed with roe. It's such a delicious dish, so I hope you order this too. It's on a whole different level from the usual minari pancake you get elsewhere — I really enjoyed it.

Finishing the pot with kalguksu and juk

Add the hand-cut noodles — the noodle texture is great. Finish it off with juk (rice porridge) and that's it. The porridge was delicious too.
