The inside of the Ingye branch is spacious and comfortable. Basic seating goes from 4-person up to 6+ person tables, so it's great for family meals too!! Especially since there's a private room along the wall — for group use, it seems better to reserve the room in advance! Even though I went at an off-peak afternoon hour, customers kept coming in!

The staff set up the initial side dishes for you, and after that you can just refill any that run low yourself 😋

What we ordered that day was two bowls: regular pork bone soup and spicy ugeoji pork bone soup.

There's a kiosk at every table, so you just add items and order comfortably! Once you order, they bring out soy-wasabi sauce, pickled onion, and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) — the perfect side dishes to go with the meal. Ssamjang and cheongyang chili peppers are at the self-serve bar, so just take as much as you want.

Spicy ugeoji pork bone soup vs plain pork bone soup

The broth color of the spicy pork bone soup I ordered definitely looks hotter, right? 🫢 It also came with three big chunks of bone... I was debating whether to order the extra-large size, but even the regular size came with a generous portion! Enough to fill up even an adult man! They also loaded it with plenty of chopped green onion, which I loved. I always pile on the green onion when I eat guk-bap (soup with rice) haha ෆ⸒⸒

This is the color of the regular pork bone soup, and the broth flavor was exactly the right classic pork bone soup taste — delicious!

I prefer the deeper, richer broth!! The spicy aroma definitely comes through strong 🔥

Meat on the bone that pulls off with chopsticks

The meat on the bone was thick but pulled off easily and tender 🫢🫢 There was also plenty of ugeoji, so I was very satisfied. Honestly, eating pork bone soup is all about the ugeoji + bone meat.

Can you see the meat •• ! No gamey smell at all, and the meat came off soft and easy to eat. You definitely need less effort with your hands haha. Chopsticks alone were more than enough to pull the meat off, great great 🎶 Dipping the meat in the wasabi soy sauce is basically the rule ~

White rice + ugeoji + meat, this combination is really... I don't even need to say more, you all know.

I finished it down to the last bit, not leaving a single scrap! A deliciously fiery spicy flavor that cleared my stress and cured my hangover, all at once - ❤︎
