Why I went back to Iyo Shop in Mapo after three months
Today I visited my go-to lash lift spot near Gongdeok Station again. I got it done three months ago and was so happy with it that I went back. If you're looking for somewhere that does a great lash lift in Gongdeok, I'd recommend this place!
Iyo Shop location, opening hours and how to book
Iyo Shop is on the 2nd floor of 143 Mapo-daero, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Hours are Mon–Fri 08:00–21:00, Saturday 09:00–21:00, and Sunday 09:00–16:00.
Since it's a one-person shop, you must book through Naver Reservation. If you try to book the day before, it's often already full because it's so popular, so I'd recommend booking with plenty of lead time. Weekends are pretty much always packed..!
Walking to Iyo Shop from Gongdeok Station: the outdoor stairs shortcut beside Olive Young
I rushed straight here after work on a weekday. Iyo Shop is located in Gongdeok, Mapo! If you're coming by subway, just come out Exit 3 of Gongdeok Station, and if you're coming by bus, get off at Ahyeon-dong Community Center. I came from Gwanghwamun and it was only 5 stops. So nice that it's this close ❤️
Iyo Shop is on the 2nd floor of Park Palace. Last time I went in through the building and took the elevator, but this time I found a shortcut!! There are outdoor stairs on the left side of Olive Young that go straight up.
If you take these outdoor stairs up to the 2nd floor, there's a door leading into the building, and going through there, the building right in front of you is Iyo Shop!!

I made it to Iyo Shop!! Since it's run by one person, you get treated privately, which was really nice. And honestly... even with strangers, it can feel a bit awkward showing up bare-faced or looking exhausted. With a one-person shop, you don't have to worry about that, which I loved!!
There's a spot to store your bags and a hanger too, so you can hang up your coat even in fall or winter. I noticed this last time too, but the owner keeps everything so tidy — even on this second visit, I kept thinking how spotless the shop was.

Before the lash lift
If you've gotten a lash lift before, you know that once you start, you have to keep getting them.. so you really need to take care of your lashes well. A lash lift lasts about a month, and after that if you don't get another one, your lashes start going every which way and it gets chaotic..! But when you have the lift, satisfaction is 100%.
What makes a lash lift worth it, in my view

- ✔️Eyes look bigger even without eye makeup
- ✔️Saves time on eye makeup since you look done-up even without doing much
Forget everything else, it just makes me prettier!! That's all that matters. What else even counts. Pretty wins.
How long the lash lift takes: about 1 hour, and I slept through it
The lash lift took about an hour, and I drifted right off to sleep with my eyes closed. The owner did everything perfectly and made the whole process so comfortable that I got a great nap in!

This is a photo from the day of the treatment! I was told it's best to wash your face as late as possible, so I waited 4 hours after the treatment to wash up. The longer you wait, the better the hold seems to be. Water can make it drop faster..
After washing my face, I looked in the mirror and yep.. my eyes looked about 1.5x bigger.. This is it, this is exactly it!! That confidence boost you get even bare-faced feels so good.
I didn't do anything else, just applied lash serum — doesn't it look like I did mascara and used an eyelash curler?! So I've been going around super satisfied these days!! To keep this hold going a bit longer, I guess I need to apply lash serum often, haha. If you're looking for somewhere that does a great lash lift in Gongdeok or Mapo, I'd recommend Iyo Shop.
