My husband and I finally went to get our hair done together again! We went to Lian Hair Myeongji University Branch 2 (리안헤어 명지대2호점) 👋🏻 It's on the 2nd floor of a building right on the street 😀 The sign is easy to spot and the location is great, so we found it super easily. There are actually several Lian Hair branches near Myeongji University!

Lian Hair's interior, booking and prices

We booked ahead through Naver and went in — me for a cut, my husband for a perm! Walking in, the whole place felt clean and well-organized, which I loved. It wasn't cluttered or chaotic at all, and the relaxed atmosphere made the whole service feel comfortable, not stressful!

Clean, right?! Since time is precious with a little one at home, we booked the very first slot of the day haha,, but it was such a happy day getting to do our hair together after a long time 🥹

Prices are listed on Naver, and also posted right at the counter like this, so there was no guessing! I'm thinking of trying a membership next time — picking the right one for you seems really economical. Either way, both of us need to keep coming back for our hair..!!!

Why a regular perm plus down perm with medium-thickness curls?

My husband's side hair tends to flip out especially when it gets longer, so this time we did a regular perm together with a down perm! His hair length was a bit in between, so following the designer's suggestion, we went with medium curls — not too thin, not too thick 🥹 When we told her the style he wanted, she didn't just dive straight into it — she checked his current hair condition first and explained how to perm it so it would look natural. Loved that!

His hair had gotten pretty shaggy since it had been a while since his last cut! We decided to get a clean cut here first before the perm. The consultation was so thorough that it felt really comfortable, hehe.

So clean, right?! He hadn't even gotten the perm yet and it already looked finished! Just the cut alone was satisfying, so I started getting excited for after the perm haha

Since I was there anyway, I got my long hair trimmed, and they gave us coffee and snacks to enjoy while we waited or got our hair done,, as a snack lover, I was thrilled haha

Lol, why is this so funny,, his hair getting all rolled up like stir-fry,,, She checked in on his hair condition throughout, which was reassuring, and overall it felt like she was really thorough with every step. So much care in every little detail,, honestly put fast food to shame in terms of attentiveness. But the best part was it never felt overbearing,,, she didn't ask a ton of unnecessary questions, just delivered exactly the info we needed, which made the whole thing so comfortable-! The hair took roughly an hour and a half to two hours total.

The side hair got a down perm too. Compared to just a regular perm, having the sides lie down neatly made the whole hairstyle look so much cleaner!!?? The difference between doing a down perm and not is bigger than you'd think, so my husband always makes sure to get the down perm too!

After: the finished men's perm at Lian Hair

The curls didn't feel too strong at all — just the right amount of volume and curl, so it wasn't over the top, and the sides sat down neatly, giving the whole silhouette a clean look!! And most of all, it suited the shape of his head perfectly, so it looked really great. After getting his hair done, even his face looked a bit more put-together. Really recommend this if you want a clean, tidy style!
