Yeouido is full of office workers, so after-work hours can get crowded at a lot of places, but I liked that the seating here is divided like partitions, making it quieter and more comfortable to talk than I expected.

In particular, things like a premium lamb shoulder rack, scallop butter cheese, black pepper king shrimp, and butter garlic king shrimp stood out as a bit different from the usual izakaya menu.

Among the many options, we ordered yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) and butter garlic king shrimp, along with beer, and decided to make it a light dinner-and-drinks night. After ordering, a basic starter dish came out first, which was nice for a simple drink while waiting.

Besides the lamb, there's sashimi and scallop butter cheese that go well with drinks, so next time I'd like to try more of the menu one dish at a time. If you're visiting with several people, picking one sashimi, one grilled dish, and one noodle or stir-fry dish to share sounds like a good approach.

Who is Nani Yeouido Branch best suited to?

Another thing I liked about Nani Yeouido Branch was the seating atmosphere. At a bar, the food matters, but being able to comfortably talk with whoever you're with matters just as much. The seats here feel separated enough that the noise or gaze from the next table isn't much of a bother.

So it seems like a good fit for people looking for a Yeouido date spot, or for those wanting somewhere for food and drinks after a first date. It also works fine for office dinners or small gatherings. Being close to Yeouido Station is also a plus if you want to move on somewhere else after eating.

Yeouido has a lot of offices, so on weeknight evenings it tends to fill up with office workers — and sure enough, when I visited, more customers kept coming in as the after-work hours went on. So if you want a more relaxed visit, it's worth going a bit earlier or making a reservation.

Overall, taking the location, atmosphere, and menu together, Nani Yeouido Branch left the impression of a good izakaya for dinner and drinks in Yeouido. What stuck with me most was the easy access right by Yeouido Station, and how the somewhat separated seating made conversation comfortable.

The menu also isn't just for drinking — with sashimi, grilled dishes, stir-fries, and noodles, there was enough variety to enjoy it like an actual dinner with drinks alongside. It works for a casual beer night, and it's also a good fit for a group ordering a spread of dishes and taking your time talking.
