Parking near Gangnam Station brunch restaurant The Mignon Seoul
In short
The Mignon Seoul is a brunch restaurant in a three-story standalone building on a side street between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul. Because The Mignon Seoul has no on-site parking, the writer checked three parking lots 2–9 minutes away on foot, then visited on a Friday at 10:30am for truffle mushroom gnocchi and seasonal fruit French toast. The European-style facade and modern interior suit a brunch with friends as easily as a blind date or a wedding-invitation gathering.

I had plans with a friend one morning, so I was searching for a brunch restaurant near Gangnam Station when I found a place with a pretty exterior and gnocchi that looked delicious. It's called The Mignon Seoul.
Walking from Gangnam Station toward Sinnonhyeon Station, if you go up a small hill, there's a side street lined with charming little restaurants and cafés.

It's a short stretch, but the moment you turn into that alley, the mood feels quite different from the bustling main area near Gangnam Station. The Mignon Seoul, which takes up an entire building, stood out even from a distance.
Having visited in person, the food was satisfying, but what really impressed me was the modern European-style interior that carried through from the facade to the inside. It felt like a great spot for a relaxed brunch with a friend, but also well suited to a blind date or a small gathering.

A three-story standalone building with a European facade

The Mignon Seoul occupies an entire three-story building. The bright ivory exterior walls, paired with black awnings and red door and window frames, reminded me of a restaurant you might find on a European street.

A narrow alley runs alongside the building, so from the front you get the full width of the facade, while from the corner you can see its three-dimensional shape.

A long sign with white lettering on a black background, along with small lights spaced evenly along the wall, also caught my eye. The classic typeface on the sign and the tall vertical second-floor windows added to the European mood.

It wasn't overdecorated at all, yet a few carefully chosen elements gave it a very distinct character.
Inside The Mignon Seoul: a clean space with classic details

The interior felt more modern and simple than the exterior.

Set against white and gray-beige tones, light wood chairs and marble-look tables gave the whole space a calm, tidy feel. European touches were everywhere, but nothing felt overdone, so it stayed comfortable.

What stood out most was the chandelier on the staircase leading to the second floor. Glass ornaments trimmed in brass linked together in a circle, adding a subtle elegance to the otherwise simple space.
The white staircase connecting the floors and the wire-mesh railing had a classic but streamlined design.

On the marble tables, white plates, clear goblet glasses, and cutlery were neatly arranged, giving the dining space a well-organized feel.

The tables and chairs had a simple but comfortable design, and the bright interior meant it wasn't a heavy, overly formal atmosphere. Still, thanks to the marble-look tables, classic lighting, and neatly set tableware, it felt a bit more composed and polished than your average brunch café.
It seemed like a great place to enjoy brunch with a friend, but also well suited for occasions you'd want to dress up for a bit more — like a blind date or an engagement party gathering.

Friday 10:30am at The Mignon Seoul: waiting time and seating
When we visited around 10:30am on a Friday, there were only about two other tables occupied. It was a relatively quiet time, so we could enjoy brunch at a leisurely pace, but as lunchtime approached, the empty tables filled up one by one. By the time we left, more than two-thirds of the seats seemed to be taken.
What's on the menu at The Mignon Seoul?

The menu ranged from brunch items like salads, French toast, and open sandwiches to pasta, gnocchi, and steak. It was a lineup that worked whether you wanted something light or a heartier meal.

We ordered the truffle mushroom gnocchi and the seasonal fruit French toast, along with some coffee.

Our iced Americano and Americano came out first. They were rich and nutty with a hint of acidity lingering at the end — really nice.

How does the truffle mushroom gnocchi taste?
Next came the truffle mushroom gnocchi. Thick gnocchi with a golden-browned surface arrived with mushrooms and bacon in a cream sauce.

The texture was a bit different from the round, chewy gnocchi I usually have. When I bit into it, it mashed softly like potato while still keeping a bit of chewiness — it reminded me of mashed potatoes. The truffle aroma was subtle, and the soft gnocchi paired well with the cream sauce. Eating it alongside the bacon and mushrooms was fun too — it was the most satisfying dish we ordered that day.

Seasonal fruit French toast with fig and jamón
Among the brunch items, I ordered the French toast because it stood out for the generous amount of seasonal fruit piled on top.

The thick French toast was piled high with seasonal figs and jamón, served alongside matcha ice cream. The pink of the figs contrasted beautifully with the green matcha ice cream, and the classic-patterned pale pink plate made the plating especially pretty.
The toast was moist and soft, with a sense of moisture all the way through. It could be eaten in a variety of ways by adding a little fig, jamón, or matcha ice cream at a time.

Is The Mignon Seoul worth a Gangnam brunch? Final thoughts
The Mignon Seoul sits in a side street with a mood quite different from the busy streets of Gangnam Station. The ivory facade, red window frames, and classic lighting made for a particularly memorable space. It was comfortable yet polished — a good fit for brunch with a friend, but also for the kind of meal you'd want to dress up for a little more, like a blind date or an engagement party gathering.
