In short
Yun Sikdang is a Korean set-meal restaurant on Bukseong-ro in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon, known for its grilled bulgogi jeongsik (set meal) at 16,000 won per person. Because last order is 7:30 PM, the writer called ahead, ordered the grilled bulgogi set for two with kimchi jeon (kimchi pancake) added, and was still able to get a second pancake after last order by asking. Dinner at Yun Sikdang: why last order is 7:30 PM
Yun Sikdang, a famous Korean set-meal restaurant in Masan, has last order at 7:30pm, so I called ahead before visiting! Maybe because it was the weekend, they seemed to still be taking a few guests after last order too. But it looked like everyone had called ahead first.

Business hours run from 11:30am to 9pm, with break time from 3 to 5pm. It said they're closed every Wednesday.

Yun Sikdang menu and prices: grilled bulgogi set, 16,000 won per person
Yun Sikdang specializes in grilled bulgogi, and the basic order is the grilled bulgogi jeongsik at 16,000 won per person! Some side dishes come with an extra charge. The kimchi jeon (kimchi pancake) was so good we added one, hehe.

It said that aside from the basic banchan, everything is cooked to order once you order, so it can take a little time. Still, the food came out fast, which was nice. And it all came out together as one full spread, which I really liked.

Free drink with a receipt review! And thoughtfully, they even had hair ties ready. Tie your hair up and dig in, that's all you need.

The spoons and chopsticks were in a paper pouch too, which somehow made it feel even cleaner.

What comes with the grilled bulgogi set meal
Everything we ordered was laid out, and the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) came out still bubbling — it was genuinely so good!!!!!!! Seemed like it'd be amazing mixed into rice, so later on I did pour a little rice in!

Seasoned squid, lettuce, mung bean sprouts, japchae (glass noodles), stir-fried anchovies, yeolmu kimchi, seasoned crab, and steamed egg.

Macaroni salad, seasoned eggplant, and napa cabbage kimchi.
We each got one whole braised abalone too! It was really delicious. Seasoned just right, and my boyfriend even cleaned and prepped it for me so I could eat it easily.

A whole grilled mackerel came out too. Crispy and beautifully grilled.

The kimchi jeon was totally my style. It's not the crispy-edged type, but it had a nice bit of spice and was really tasty. Since it'd been a while since I had kimchi jeon, I enjoyed it even more.

How the grilled bulgogi tastes: deep charcoal smokiness
And then the grilled bulgogi!!!!! It had such a strong smoky char flavor. Topped with onion and scallion strips! Eaten with rice, it's an instant rice thief. Since there were already so many side dishes, the amount of meat was just right for two.
White rice, unveiled! With so many tasty banchan, this is the kind of place where you end up eating a lot of rice. Yun Sikdang, where you can enjoy home-style cooking. The guys seemed to almost all order rice refills. This place calls for rice.

Pretty generous spread, right? Great to visit when you want a hearty meal, and perfect when you're craving home-style food. Hot doenjang jjigae, meat, japchae, plus a full lineup of side dishes — so good, so good.

We were super hungry that day, and we really ate well and had a great time, haha.

For wraps there was lettuce, perilla leaves, and peppers, and I like to make perilla leaf wraps. Eaten with garlic and that smoky grilled bulgogi, it's seriously the best.

The steamed egg was so fluffy and soft, and it wasn't salty at all, which I loved. I want to learn to make steamed egg like that too, haha.

Adding a second kimchi pancake after last order
One more kimchi jeon, please, haha! Since it was past last order, I asked if we could still order more, and we could! The kimchi jeon was so good, hahahaha.

Putting grilled fish over white rice is also amazing! Given that they even give you the fish, Yun Sikdang really is a great-value Masan set-meal restaurant. Seems like a good spot to visit with family, and fine to bring your parents too!

We cleaned every single plate! Yun Sikdang was great for a hearty, filling meal, totally recommend it!
