Soy-sauce pork ribs with free pork skin in Jungok-dong, Geoje: Geumson

Today I visited Geumson Deunggalbi Sundubu, a pork rib restaurant in Jungok-dong, Geoje. ^.^

Geumson Deunggalbi Sundubu Geoje Main Branch is open daily from 11:30 to 23:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00 and last order at 21:00. The address is 26-1 Jungok-ro 1-gil, 1st floor, Geoje-si, Gyeongnam, South Korea. Parking is available in front of the restaurant, and if there's no space, you can park on the roadside in the alley.

The restaurant doesn't have private rooms, just hall tables, and it was packed at lunchtime with people coming in for the lunch special. ~~~ The place was clean and the owner greeted us warmly. ^^

Menu and lunch special prices at Geumson Deunggalbi Sundubu

The signature menu is the wanbeol (whole-cut) grilled pork ribs. It comes in soy or spicy flavor, and you need to order at least 3 servings. ~~~ I ordered 3 servings of the soy-flavor whole-cut grilled ribs. ~~ haha

Geumson Deunggalbi Sundubu's lunch special includes braised pork ribs + grilled fish + gondre (mountain herb) rice + salad + side dishes, all for ₩37,900 for 2 people. There are sets for 2, 3, and 4 people haha, great value, right ~~~? ☺️ The sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) + grilled fish + salad + side dishes set is only ₩10,000 per person, so it's an easy price point that draws in a lot of diners ^.^

If you write a Naver receipt review, you get free pork skin, so definitely take part and try the pork skin. ^^

Three dipping sauces and the side dishes that come with the ribs

When you order the grilled ribs, three kinds of sauce come out. ~~~ Just dip however you like! hahaha

When you order the grilled ribs, four basic side dishes come out like this. The gungchae (dried radish stem), white kimchi, radish salad, and cabbage salad were all delicious!!! If you run out, just ask for more and they'll bring you extra. ~~~

How does the free receipt-review pork skin taste?

The service pork skin I got from the Naver receipt review event ~~~!!! ^^ You just cut it with scissors and eat it right away. haha Really tasty pork skin, this place is actually a pork skin restaurant too ~~~! ^^

Chewy, with no gamey smell at all, so delicious, and you could faintly taste the smoky char. ^.^ ~~~~

Vegetable garnish and the free kimchi noodle soup

Before the grilled ribs came out, we were first served a vegetable garnish. They said to grill it on the hearth ourselves. haha Corn, bell peppers, garlic, kkwari peppers, and mushrooms — a solid lineup ~~~!!!!

When you order the grilled ribs, kimchi noodle soup comes free. ^^ Sweet and tangy broth with cool kimchi noodles ~~~! Since the noodles come out, we didn't order rice separately. ~~ ☺️

Since it's grilled over an open hearth, you can eat it right away. haha The savory house-made sauce combined with the smoky flavor from the hearth and the nutty taste of the meat makes it a real treat. ~~~ ☺️

There was so much meat on the ribs haha, so delicious!! haha Moist grilled ribs ~~~ ☺️☺️☺️❤️

I ordered the soy flavor and dipped it in the spicy sauce, which was delicious. ☺️ Since it comes fully grilled, you can eat right away, which was so convenient — this local Geoje favorite, Geumson Deunggalbi Sundubu ~~!! ^.^ The two of us shared 3 servings and it was quite filling. 😍 You should all go visit Geumson Deunggalbi Sundubu in Jungok-dong, Geoje for grilled pork ribs ~~ ^.^
