These days the evenings have gotten pleasantly cool, so it's perfect weather to throw open a window and have a beer! I'd had my eye on this pizza & beer spot, Long Time No See Yadang Branch, for a while whenever I passed Yadang Station, so I finally went.

Long Time No See Yadang Branch

If you get off at Yadang Station, you'll see the yellow sign on the 2nd floor right away — I bet a lot of people have noticed it while passing by. From pizza and pasta to a variety of draft and craft beers you pour yourself as much as you like, it was a great spot for a casual pizza-and-beer session :)

Where is Long Time No See Yadang Branch, and is parking free?

An easy-to-find pizza pub right in front of Yadang Station. Long Time No See Yadang Branch is on the 2nd floor of the building with the Lotte Cinema, right by Exits 1 and 2 of Yadang Station. Once you come out of the station, the Long Time No See sign is easy to spot!

If you're driving, you can use the parking lot in the same building, and it comes with 4 hours of free parking. Right in front of the station, so it's convenient by public transit too and parking is available, making it a solid spot for gatherings.

Inside Long Time No See: window seats with a Yadang Station night view

An open feel with the Yadang night view laid out in front of you. The tables are spaced generously, and plant decorations hanging from the ceiling gave it that classic pub atmosphere.

I especially liked the window seats. With the windows open, it didn't feel stuffy at all, and you can sip a beer with pizza while looking out at the Yadang Station night view. Not fully outdoor seating, but the window side has a bit of that outdoor-drinking-tent vibe — perfect for beer on a nice-weather day :)

On one side there's a row of beer dispensers set up, plus a separate popcorn machine.

How the self-pour beer works: tag your wristband, pour as much as you want

Tag your wristband and pour whatever beer you want, as much as you want! The fun part of Long Time No See is that it's a self-pour system. When you sit down, they give you a red wristband — tag it at the dispenser for whichever beer you want to drink, then pour it yourself, as much as you like. It's priced by volume, like at a gas station. There are several kinds of beer, so it's also great for pouring small amounts and sampling a few types.

When you're done with your glass, you can set it on the rinsing station, which sprays water to rinse it simply. Pouring your own beer added a fun element that made it feel different from a typical beer bar!

The free bar snack: popcorn popped fresh on the spot

Popcorn came out as the house snack. Since it's popped fresh right in the popcorn machine, it was way better than I expected.

Warm and crunchy, basically movie-theater popcorn vibes! I kept snacking on it while waiting for the pizza, and it paired well with the beer too.

What's on the menu at Long Time No See Yadang Branch

Pizza, pasta, chicken, and sides — a wide range. The signature is definitely pizza! There were plenty of varieties — bulgogi, shrimp, pepperoni, cheese, spinach — plus pasta, fries, chicken wings & drumettes, gratin, and other menu items that go well with beer.

The pizzas use dough aged in-house with black rice. Once I tasted it, the dough was quite good on its own — good enough that I didn't even need to add cheese crust.

Bulgogi shrimp pizza on aged black rice dough

Loaded with shrimp and bulgogi, on house-made black rice dough. The pizza was a bit smaller than I expected. But it more than made up for it with generous shrimp and bulgogi on top, plus a good amount of cheese — the toppings were plentiful. There was a sweet-and-tangy sauce drizzled on top, kind of like ketchup, and the bulgogi-shrimp combo worked better than I'd guessed.

But the cheese and dough were the real stars! Chewy and nutty all the way to the crust edge, and dipping it in the garlic dipping sauce made it even better. Hot sauce and parmesan cheese were set out at every table too, so you could sprinkle on as much as you wanted.

Chicken wings and drumettes

Low-grease, tender, oven-baked chicken vibes. The wings & drumettes came out with fries, and it had that oven-roasted feel with the fat drained off. The outside was nicely browned and a bit crispy, while the inside stayed tender — surprisingly delicious!

The fries that came with it were tasty while hot too, and it was fun dipping them in two different sauces. Pizza alone might feel a little lacking, so this is a great side to pair with your beer.

Spicy hangover-cure pasta

A spicy dish that cuts through the richness of the pizza. It was spicier than I expected, and that's actually what made it so good! Noodles and mussels in a spicy tomato-based broth gave it that hangover-cure-soup kind of feel.

A bite of this after the pizza and chicken completely cut through the greasiness. There's also a mini burner underneath, which kept it nice and warm while we ate.

How much food is it, and can you take leftover pizza home?

At first the pizza looked a bit small and I worried it wouldn't be enough, but between the pizza, chicken wings & drumettes, and pasta, we ended up stuffed. Leftover pizza can be packed to go! If you're visiting as a group, it seems like a good move to order one pizza plus a variety of sides and pasta to share.

Final verdict on Long Time No See Yadang Branch

Long Time No See Yadang Branch has a great location — you can walk straight there from Yadang Station — and the view of Yadang Station from the 2nd floor was better than I expected. Especially with the evenings getting cool these days, throwing open the big window kept it breezy and gave it a great atmosphere.

Pouring your own beer was fun, and beyond pizza there was a good range of sides like pasta and chicken, so it's a great place to visit with a group and share a bit of everything. If you're near Yadang Station looking for a spot to grab pizza and beer, this is a nice, easy place to stop by :)
