Yeouido IFC Mall sundae and Pepsi Zero takeout set: Hyeonseonine
In short
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is a tteokbokki, fried snack and sundae (Korean blood sausage) restaurant on basement level 2 of IFC Mall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The set ordered at the kiosk and taken away held tteokbokki, fried snacks, sundae, mini gimbap and a Pepsi Zero, and the chewy, nutty blood-sausage-style sundae was the best part. The bag was heavy enough to feed several people, making it a generous snack meal to share.

Whenever I get hungry for the nation's favorite snack, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), I think of Yeouido! This time I visited Hyeonseonine, already famous by word of mouth — it's a name that comes up any time people mention The Hyundai Seoul food spots or lunch near IFC Mall in Yeouido.

Ordering at the Hyeonseonine Premium kiosk in IFC Mall: what the shop is like
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is on basement level 2 of IFC Mall, and as soon as you walk in there's a neatly installed kiosk right by the entrance, so ordering is easy! The menu ranges from single items to solid set combos, so it was easy to pick whatever suited my taste.

There's also a big menu board on the wall, so it was easy to see the whole lineup at a glance. The interior is clean and the seating is cozily set up, so it'd be great for dining in too!

At the self-serve bar, pickled radish, utensils, and cups were all neatly arranged! Looking around the dining area, it was packed with customers~~ Clearly this place is known as a tteokbokki spot in Yeouido, because everyone seemed to be enjoying their food 👍
What comes in the Hyeonseonine Premium takeout bag and set
This time I got everything packed for takeout at Hyeonseonine Premium, and the paper bag was so cute that I felt happy the moment I got it, haha.

It had a cute character illustration on it, so you could tell a lot of care went into the packaging design too. When I picked up the bag, I could really feel the weight..! The portion was so generous and hearty that it'd be plenty even for a few people to share.

Ta-da! Here's the full spread once I unpacked it — tteokbokki, fried snacks, sundae, and gimbap (seaweed rice roll), a perfect snack combo that had my mouth watering before I even took a bite. And one of my favorite touches personally was the drink — a nicely thought-out inclusion of Pepsi Zero, perfect for a clean, refreshing finish. Honestly the best.

How do the tteokbokki, fried snacks, sundae and mini gimbap taste?
First off, the tteokbokki — I'm honestly not usually a huge fan of this classic, basic style, but it went down so easily.
The sauce soaked well into the rice cakes and it was just the right amount of spicy-sweet, so it had that addictive quality where you keep reaching for more without getting sick of it!

The fried snacks were also really crispy outside and moist inside — delicious. Even though some time had passed, the crispiness held up, and dipping them right into the tteokbokki sauce was a great combo!!!
And the sundae was seriously amazing!!!! Rather than the usual glutinous-rice sundae style, it had a chewy, savory texture like blood-sausage-style sundae, and it was the best thing I ate here. I get why everyone calls this place a sundae spot. No gamey smell at all, just outstanding savoriness — if you love sundae, you have to try this.
The mini gimbap that came along wasn't over-seasoned either, so it paired nicely with the tteokbokki sauce! Thanks to the solid lineup, it made for a really satisfying meal. The generous portions, the savory sauce, and the crispy fried snacks — overall it was such a satisfying snack session. Tasting it myself, I immediately understood why the place is packed inside, haha. I'll definitely stop by again whenever I'm in Yeouido — highly recommend visiting whenever you're craving good Korean snacks~~

Is the Hyeonseonine Premium takeout set worth it?
The interior was overall kept very clean and hygienic, which made it even more reassuring to enjoy, and thanks to the careful sealed packaging in dedicated containers, I got everything home cleanly without a single spill!
The rice cakes were so chewy, and the more I chewed, the more the savory sauce flavor came through, and the fried snacks were packed full of filling — a perfect match with the tteokbokki sauce..🤍 I totally get why this place is popular for office workers' lunches or snacks! Definitely a spot I'll be stopping by again.
