The store was way bigger and cleaner than I expected, and having both indoor and outdoor seats meant we could pick whichever suited our group size!

Ordering at the kiosk: the Hyeonseoni Set for 23,000 won

Ordering is self-service through a kiosk, and the menu was so varied I had a happy dilemma over what to get. After some back and forth I went with the signature Hyeonseoni Set!

What's on the self-serve bar at Hyeonseonine Premium?

Once we sat down, there was a separate self-serve bar where you just grab whatever you need.

Filtered water, danmuji (pickled radish), salt for dipping sundae, soy sauce for the fried snacks, wet wipes, small plates, utensils — everything was so neatly laid out that there was nothing to get confused about haha.

How big is the Hyeonseoni Set, and how does it taste?

The food came out faster than I expected, and I was surprised the moment it arrived — it was plated so appetizingly that I took photos before even starting to eat haha. They also gave us plenty of extra broth, so the whole spread felt really generous!

It was clearly a portion meant to be shared by two or three people! I could see why this place is known as a go-to gimbap and tteokbokki spot near The Hyundai.

Trying everything one by one, the tteokbokki rice cakes were really chewy, and the gimbap had this nutty flavor that came alive once dipped deep into the tteokbokki broth — total winning combo >.<

The sundae came generously packed with innards too, which made it even more satisfying, and the fried snacks were crispy outside and tender inside, with enough variety that picking through them was fun.

For a filling lunch near IFC Mall in Yeouido, I don't think there are many places quite like this!
